This was a decent camp experience for us. Camping next to the creek and the wonderful nature sounds it brought us was a lovely experience. However, communication regarding this campsite needs improvement. The emails received prior to our trip said both "[Campsite 013] NEXT TO DRINKING WATER, BETWEEN SITES 11 AND 15" as well as "This is a NO WATER facility..." Very confusing. Needless to say, the water spigot was blocked off, and there was no running water or plumbing whatsoever. Restrooms were an outhouse style. This is not our jam, so we will not be coming back.NOTE: BE SURE TO BRING YOUR OWN WATER FOR DRINKING, COOKING, WASHING DISHES, and HYGIENE. We were able to purchase some at the nearby gas station and a family of 4 went through more gallons than we realized for the above named activities.

the host was something of a recluse, not that he needs to be everybody's buddy but maybe a nod of the head wouldn't hurt but my biggest complaint is that I was not told ahead of time that there was no potable water available on site. and the nearest bottled water would cost $5.95 a gallon, ($1 dollar more that gasoline)

Please fix the water pump. It has been broken for about five years now. People pay enough for campsites so running water should be included.

Great time

A really great campsite for families. We had direct access to the river which was fun but very cold even for July! There is an interpretive waterfall hike about ten minutes away by car where you can park and go see some neat things. Our campsite was wonderful and safe and private. We stayed at site 008 and had a great time. Make sure and bring your bug spray!

Cool location right on the river. Some sites have access but can be very steep to get down there. Still no running water for the last few years which is unfortunate.

True PNW rainforest experience. The campsite sits right on the Beckler River and is snugly canopied by a mixed deciduous and evergreen forest. Each breath feels rejuvenating here. There are basic amenities, no showers.

Site 12 checked all the boxes for us! It was a pull-through driveway which was perfect for our trailer, a short trail down to the river, and trees for a hammock. The kids had the best time. We will be back!

Roomy and secluded sites hidden in a beautiful forest
@SandraW9233062 · Camped on Aug 20, 2023 at Campsite #21
Loved it! Although there was no running water, the river, provided close and ample filterable water. The pit toilets were clean and well-kept. Beautiful campgraound.

This was a beautiful and peaceful campground. The Beckler River is picturesque and refreshing. We enjoyed two great trails, the Iron Goat Interpretive trail and the Deception Falls trail. Both are not to be missed. The campground was very clean and the host was very industrious making sure everything was perfect.

I got a nice secluded campground, everything was nice and well maintained. Very easy access to the creek and someone directed us to a fun little beach/lake area slightly down the way. All was lovely!

Small, beautiful, very clean and quite campground. It was our first time here and it has become one of my favorites. We will definitely be back next year.

Very peaceful besides the shooting. It wasn't often or for long or too early or late, just plain annoying. Never interacted with the host even though we were in site #1. It's a little on the small side, but we absolutely loved it. Only reason I'm not rating it 5 stars is the fact that it had no water (not that big of a deal, but would be nice), the shooting and that the ranger station nearby was closed fri-sun.

We have camped at Beckler many times over the past ten years. Never disappointed.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
