Riverside (Helena) Campground in Lewis and Clark county is located 30 min east of Helena, MT with an elevation of 3,661 feet. There are a total of 28 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to mid September. Sites can accommodate RVs between 40 and 90 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Fees range from $15.00 to $106.00.

The bathrooms were amazingly clean! Super clean. The camp host was very, very nice and he had a wonderful dog! The experience was great!

The camp host Josh was amazing and very helpful. Josh does an excellent job keeping the facilities and campsites immaculately clean. The sites are well laid out with many pull throughs. It was peaceful and quiet on our stay.

The campground is very clean and we'll kept. Josh does a great job keeping the bathrooms very clean as well as being very helpful when needed.

There was no swimming in the lake due to bacteria and it was over 95 degrees. Also the flies were terrible, possibly due to the overloaded garbage receptacle which also smelled terribly. There was no privacy; my husband and I felt like a personal viewing opportunity for the couple across from us who sat in their lawn chairs for 5+ hours watching us put up our tent, cook dinner, etc. However, the bathrooms were clean.

We stay here often. The host is new this year, maybe new to hosting? Very friendly, but needs to enforce the established rules. Generators being used outside of quiet hours and loud music led us to cut our cut short this July 4th.

Josh does an outstanding job of maintaining this campground. He is friendly & personable and takes great care of the toilets & grounds. This is one of the nicer campgrounds we have stayed in for quite some time. It is quiet & peaceful, with easy access & a fairly good road to get to it.

Our stay at riverside group use was excellent, the camp host did an outstanding job, and was always available and very helpful! The restrooms were very clean.

My family loves this campground and we've held our annual family camping get-together here for a number of years. The grounds are well-kept, each site was designed well, and the outhouses are always clean and stocked. The camp host, Bob, does a great job ensuring everyone is safe and that campers' needs are met.

Not very large but enough space to enjoy your site. Located on the Missouri river, looked like some pretty good fishing. The dam us just up stream and depending on the outflow sounds like rapids or more. No dumping, but trash and water. We enjoyed or stay, although my wife preferred Hellsgate up on the reservoir lake area. Many good campgrounds in the area. Its paid boondocking with amenities. Good boat launch and small parking area. Nice clean and probably hot in the summer. We were there after Labor day and it was fine

We stayed here for 4 nights. Used the camp as home base while checking out the area. Quiet right by the lake. Wish we had a boat. Would stay here again.

Excellent campground. No dump facilities, had to go into Helena. Host did a great job. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Saw wildlife on regular basis. Very peaceful campground and boat landing. Would go back. Regular patrols of local sheriff.

Bob, the camp host, is the best! He comes around a couple times a day and asks if theres anything we needed, never had that anywhere else. The sites and bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked and our dogs loved him. Beautiful place, quiet and so friendly. Cant wait to go back.

Beautiful! This is a awesome camping spot, spot 23.The camp host Bob was amazing he was super helpful and dose a awesome job keeping the area clean. The restrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen. We will definitely try to come back again this year or next.
