We had 5 campsites for our group which consisted of 2- 32 Ft Travel Trailers, 2 30 ish Ft RVs and one rather large 5th Wheel camper.The sites we had for the RVs were A3 and A9, the RVs were able to navigate into and out of their sites fairly easily. The other site we had A7, A8 and A10 were another story. Although the length and width of the pad themselves was sufficient for the size of our campers getting into those sites was an all hands on deck situation watching out for tree stumps, trees, bushes, etc... We are experienced campers and have been camping for 15+ years and these were the most difficult sites we have ever backed into. Another reviewer commented these should be pull through sites, all though you'd rip your jacks off unless they did some leveling, I would agree with that review. Once we got parked, the sites were ok, they were quite close together which wasn't too bad for us since we had several sites, but I am sure the people next to us that were in tents and not part of our group were feeling a little crowded. There were lots of deep holes around the sites, I would not advise walking around without a flashlight after dark. There have been some trees cut down, possibly in an effort to make the sites more accessible but beware of stumps cut low to the ground as they were an additional tripping hazard. The roads within the campground are really narrow as well, although I don't recall seeing anything marked one way, you'd sure be in trouble if you were faced with another vehicle, especially if you were both towing, someone would be doing a lot of backing up! My comments are specific to the A section of the campground, although we did walk the entire campground, this review is specific to that area.

Our Campsite had a beautiful view of the lake. We camped with family and friends and it was nice being so close to one another. Our spot had a few trees for shade. My sister in law used the shower house and said it was roomy and clean. We love camping here and will be back again soon! We also rented a slip for our jet skis and that was nice being able to store them overnight.

Family friendly and well maintained. The only thing missing is sewer hook up otherwise a good place to camp and go swimming, kayaking or boating.

We camped with friends at the back of the B Loop, B09, B10 and B12 in last April. These sites are nicely shaded and long for bigger RVs. The setting is beautiful although not on the water. The picnic tables are covered with an awning, which was an added amenity for us.The only recommended upgrades we would suggest are adding sewer to this section. They are away from the lake and not prone to flooding like Loop A. It would make them perfect for longer stays.Also consider paving the entire site, picnic area included, so the gravel is not washed into the road during heavy rain.We would recommend this campground.

The Sites were well kept. Hard and level surface (asphalt) was nice. We stayed in section 'A' where the bathrooms did not have running water. There are showers on site, but were on the other side of the campground. That being said, the showers were well kept. There is a nice beach and swimming area for the kids. This place was peaceful and well worth it! Thanks.

Lovely quiet campground. Restrooms were cleaned every morning. Would recommend.

Very nice campground. Why it is not designated a dark sky campground is surprising. Some of the best dark sky stars weve ever seen. Designating it a dark sky campground would ensure campers kept their lights off or to a minimum needed for safety.

The river was so beautiful and the wide open sky was great for seeing the total eclipse plus the starry skies!

We reserved site C5 (a pull through site) for my big rig. Love the picnic table shelter at the site. Enjoyed the beach and the nature trail. Also hiked along the lake.

Great campground. Most definitely will stay here again.

Wonderful campground, the only issue is there is only 1 shower house with 4 stalls, and a privy with 2 for men and women. There are 3 camp loops. There should be more facilities given the amount of camp spots. Lake and bluffs were beautiful. Good place to fish.

Camp host was awesome. Kept us up to date on issues within the park. Quiet park. Clean and comfortable.

Very nice campground. Most sites are level and have nice views. Restrooms/showers are inadequate for a campground this size. In addition, one shower didn't work. No TV signal. Also almost no cell service w/ AT&T - sometimes texts worked.

My husband and I and our two pups stay at Site B14. The sites are very spacious with a lot of room between sites. It's very peaceful and beautiful along the bluffs, and the stars at night are absolutely amazing! Our site didn't have shade, which is shocking with so many full grown trees around, but the majority of sites in the B loop have shade. I have Verizon and would get a random text, but overall did not have service. My husband has AT&T and he had no service. They have a marina and it was busy while we were there Labor Day weekend. The beach area is large and well maintained. The only issue we had was at the dump station, the water spout to clean out the black tank was broken. Thankfully, we had a long enough hose to reach the other. They have two dumps, depending on what side your valve sits on, which is nice, but the space is not large enough to fit two RVs at the same time, so there was a line. We took a drive to Van Buren to Big Spring - Ozark National Scenic Riverways; beautiful park. We had a great experience and will definitely return.

One of our favorite campgrounds. The view from the campsite is peaceful, you can see the water and the cliffs, there are geese and deer that are very close to the camping area. We usually camp close enough to the beach that the kids can ride their bikes there. The marina is right by the beach. We always enjoy going there.

B20 campsite water hydrant leaks like crazy and have told them about in the past but still not repaired. Been like that for a few years and sprays violently. Not just a drip. Other than that have always enjoyed our trips there. Ranger and other staff all very friendly. Its our familys go to place

It is such a beautiful campground and always has been our favorite but this time the grass was so high that it madeIt hard to walk to our friends next door. So disappointed!

For a COE campground, this place is needs some serious updates! ONE bathhouse with only 2 showers for the ENTIRE campground??? Seriously? We were in the A loop, and the restroom is the old style hole in the floor. No hand sanitizer and dirty. We were in A7, and A8. The design of those sites needs to be fixed. They should have been pull through sites, instead of the back in. Horrible design.The dump station needs to have a trash bin. This is the only campground I have been to, that the dump station does not have a trash bin. So once you dump your tanks, you then have to drive back through the campground to drop off your trash. Make it easier for your customers, put a trash bin at the dump station!!I was not impressed with this campground. I do not think we will be back.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
