We always enjoy our time spent at Bucksaw and this occasion was no different. The park is well maintained and the restrooms are very clean. We already have reservations to come back next week and are very much looking forward to it.

Bucksaw has been our family place to go for over 35 years. A lot of memories. Hated to see some camp spots overgrown with weeds. Love Bucksaw Camp Sites

We were in site B041. It was an excellent site. Great views of the lake and close to the swim beach. We have AT&T and had decent service. We toured loop A and Loop C decided those loops seemed old and run down, probably would not want to in those. Howe, loop B was great. That is where you want to be. All the sites in B looked like they would be great. Plenty of room between each site except there were a couple that were right together and would be great for a couple of families who are camping together. Bathrooms were decent. Very friendly site host. We will definitely be planning more stays here but only if we can get in loop B.

Even though Bucksaw was packed with people for the Labor Day weekend, it was clean and quiet. Everyone was clearly having a great time, with large groups circling picnic tables and campfires, and all behaved fairly respectfully and were quiet. Rangers and camp hosts were regularly present and responsive.There is an old campground area connected to the A loop that makes a good sized area for running walking. The roads are also quiet enough to have an early morning run through all of the loops.We had a wonderful time and were there for 3 nights.

Nice camp area- facilities are getting kinda worn down though. All of the shower heads were limed up, not one had a good spray, they all mostly just poured. And no control of temperature.... so not a very good shower experience. (It may be that I'm picky- a good shower is really important to me!)

The camp hosts were absolutely wonderful. The camp ground was clean and we messed up when we reserved our spot and they were accommodating and helpful. Most definitely a place to return to!!

I always enjoy camping at Bucksaw, the all the areas are always kept clean kept up very well. Campsites were clean upon arrival and the shower houses are always nice (wish water temp was more, but you cant have everything). Always enjoy it.

The whole park and campgrounds were very clean and well maintained. The camp sites were also large and well separated from the other camp sites. We had an excellent time. A great place to stay for a while. We will be back in the future.

Quiet and spacious sites!

I only rated my experience as 3 stars because the water in the shower house was ice cold. We have been camping at Bucksaw Campsites for many years. In May the water in the shower house was so hot I could not stand under it and now in July it was freezing cold.

We go to Bucksaw often and its always great each time. It's a clean park and the bath houses are clean as well. Has a park and nature trail

location of our site was great and hoping that soon you will make an addition to put water spiggets on the sites in A loop like you did in B loop

We always have the best time at Bucksaw. The attendants are always helpful, the facilities are always clean and in great shape and its just all around one of our favorite camp sites.

This campground felt more like a KOA than a typical COE campground. The facilities were super dirty. The hosts were nonexistent, instead the local Sheriff was making daily rounds to keep things in line. The beach was closed with Ecoli, which is posted nowhere online or anywhere else other than the front kiosk as you come in. People were up driving around, walking around and partying well past quiet hours. Lastly, its not close to anything. Clinton, Warsaw, the dam, state park and most of the marinas are a 20-30 minute drive. There are some great campgrounds around Truman. This one isnt it.

This is my favorite park. It's full hook ups & that is my preference. The spaces between campsites is perfect. The park is clean & well maintained. It's close to shopping

Best Campgrounds that we've found near Truman Lake! (check the ecoli levels before arriving if you plan to swim)

Had a problem with the electrical service at our site, A34. While running our 1 air conditioner, if we turned on the microwave or coffee maker, the 30 amp breaker would trip. I had to reset it numerous times. We were told that site had a problem the previous weekend and was supposed to be fixed the day we arrived, but it wasn't. We were also told that someone would be by to look at it that evening, but no one ever showed up. Also, they said no electricians would be available or on call for the weekend, either. Pretty irritating to have to keep resetting the breaker.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
