Sparrowfoot Campground, Clinton, MO

Sparrowfoot Campground in Henry county is located 1 hr 11 min southeast of Lee's Summit, MO with an elevation of 724 feet. There are a total of 86 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of September. 83 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 45 and 91 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 56 sites have electric and water hookups. 27 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $30.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, laundry facility, playground, boat ramp, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Overall, I give it a four out of five stars. It wouldve been five, but the attendants werent readily available for me to pay via cash. Instead, I had to sign up for this website and do this all online when I didnt want to have to do that.

This was our second stay as it is a good stopover when traveling from Arkansas to Omaha (home). This time we chose to stay two nights so we could explore and enjoy it more. We had a great time exploring the lake front area and doing some fishing. We like the far end of Loop A. We especially appreciated the hospitality and graciousness of the camp hosts (Ron and Dee?). We also make the Osceola Cheese Factory (not far away) a favorite stop.

The campground is very nice. All showers and bathrooms were kept very clean.The host and hostess were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Park attendants were amazing. They are kind, caring, and happy people. The park is well maintained, and watched, every night there was atleast 2 drive throughs from the sheriff department and also park rangers drove through multiple times a day. Very safe here.

Campground had nice shade and good spacing. We were in loop A so we didn't have access to the lake. The lake was muddy when we were there. We hiked to the end of the campground area where we could walk to to water. People had cleaned fish and had campfires and left debris along the rocks. The laundry was clean and so were the bathrooms. Within driving distance to Walmart in Clinton. Friendly camphosts.

Excellent, always enjoy staying at this facility, the hosts are friendly and its a beautiful park. Had a little trouble with the breaker on the outlet box informed the hosts and it was taken care of promptly.

Friendly, helpful park attendants. The site is clean, quiet, easy access, with electricity and water if you want it. Close to the lake.

First time staying at sparrow foot. We only camped 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Attendants were very helpful and friendly. Facilities were clean. Overall great stay.

Very nice campground on lake. Our space had very little shade and while we were there it was in the 90s. I would only come back in cooler months

Nice sites ,very clean campground host very kind and helpful .Answered voicemail quickly when we found ran over mama opossum and couple babies that lived .Fun times caught fish even dogs had a blast .Thanks for the job well done

Beautiful facilities, We stayed in site A24 in a 40 foot motorhome, Camp Host was great as where the facilities

this campground was verry clean quiet and spacious. The trees in campground provided a good amount of shade for the hot days and the nearby lake is beautiful. 9/10 would recommend

I especially enjoyed the cleanliness of everything. I watched the campground hosts from the entrance cleaning restrooms every morning and picking up trash about everyday. The other campground hosts drove right by trash and seemed to provide no value.

Beautiful area, Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The only minus I came up with was that there was no hose bib to attach the flush hose for the blackwater tank at the dump station. We do like the area, the camping spots and the large variety of trees.

Of all the COE, state, etc. parks I have stayed at in the past 9+ year, Sparrowfoot has proven itself to be the pinnacle that all parks should strive to be. The camp hosts, Ron and Karen, are the perfect model of what camp hosts should be like. It will be a sad day if the COE does not continue to renew Ron and Karen's time there. Sad day, indeed.The camp is pristine, the sites cleaned as soon as they are vacated, the dump station is the best I have ever seen in a campground, the showers and laundry suburb.Highly recommend Sparrowfoot for short or long stays.

Very nice park. Lot of roads to bike ride on. Lots of places to go fishing. Sites are level and easy to get in. Really enjoyed this park
