Beach Lake is very serene place and its one of the few.gov parks that actually has a few full hook ups. The care of the bathrooms bathhouse and Fishhouse were outstanding. The Camp hosts were always available and did a great job.

Very close to the highway, but very serene anyway. It was lovely to be surrounded by so many trees and the lake is beautiful. Excellent experience.

It started when I arrived. A camper was parked on the site I had paid for. I went to the office and it took a couple of hours for the people to return after the attenant called her and urged her to return and move off the site. The camper should have known she was in violation of the rules and of course the attedant knew. You should make a decision to remove tents, campers and the likes from the sites to free the site up for paying customers.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Leech Lake Rec area. The sites are very big, everything was clean and immaculately maintained. The volunteers and staff there were friendly and welcoming. This campground is just the way it should be.

A nice campground, well spaced sites. Also a laundry which was free - really appreciate that. !!

Nice site. Room for 2 Ice Castles, screen tent and smaller tent. Close to rest rooms. Would probably use this site again

Very clean and so quiet also. The fishing was not very good but better than a day at work

This park is decent. The spots are large and shaded, which is nice. The playground is also updated and nice. My kids loved that. However, the bathrooms massively need updating. There is about an inch gap between the doors and the walls allowing anyone to look in and see you changing/naked, the showers heads spray everywhere rather than just a straight stream down, and only one of the showers in the women's bathrooms gets warm. The others get luke warm at best. They also do not do anything about spraying for bugs/mosquitoes. There are very few parks that we have been to that don't do some type of preventative. The mosquitoes were horrible. It made it pretty unbearable to be outside. We will not be returning to this park. Mosquitoes aside, I prefer warm showers and more privacy when using the showers especially with two young children.

Campground is immaculate and very quiet. We went up to go fishing and enjoy the north countryside.Site 61 was nice and remote and very quiet. Everyone was respectful and polite.Site access for a large camper could be questionable if you have over 40 feet.I would stay again in a heartbeat

Nice park with a lot of trees and grass. Easy access to the RV Park. Large, level sites. Electric & water only. The mosquitoes in this park were unbearable! I thought they were going to carry us away at one point! All kidding aside the bugs were terrible. Some campers were fogging their areas but I dont know if it helped. Take bug repellent if you decide to stay there.

We only stayed one night as we were on our way home. The site was nice. The pit toilet clean and not smelly. The mosquitoes were killer!

We had a great time once again at Leech Lake. The fishing was not to good, but our company and the campground facilities were great!

Campground Note: This is a nicely kept and quite campground. The sites are well spaced and large. Our only complaint was the street lights along the pathway are bight and could ruin some of the sites. Not a ton for hiking trails but decent road access for biking. The central bathhouse was really nice and clean. Campsite Note: The driveway was fairly level. Plenty of space for ground tents. Short walk to water and vaulted toilet. Some light pollution in the driveway but not much around the firepit. Note to readers: We stayed in a rooftop tent during our stay. Our family prefers insolated backcountry sites without any amenities, so our comfort level may be different then yours.

#3 site close and open to others. Would chose different site next time although was very convenient to restroom and showers

We had a family gathering here and Ranger Joe was very rude and condescending. He also was to the point of harassment! We've been coming to this park for over 35 years and have never run in to this situation!!

Nice campsite (#30). Did a little biking. Clean, quiet. Drove into Walker, which is nice. Great price. Not a great view of the lake but the dam is right there. Plan ahead and buy wood somewhere near the campground. We had electric but there are some sites with full hookups.

Love this campground have been coming here for almost 35 years. This time around the bathrooms were not cleaned, Ranger Joe was very rude and condescending. In years past you could never find even a piece of trash on the ground because the volunteers were great at what they did and loved what they were doing, now the park does not have enough volunteers so the few that they have now I am sure are over worked. Would love to see them get more volunteers to get this park back where it was just a couple years ago.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
