Amazing as always.

A great location with a good view of the Milky Way. The water on-site qualifies as potable. I would recommend bringing your own water or a good filtration system.

Once again the site was neat and obviously cared for. For the first time this year we were asked for all of our drivers to visit the registration office and to provide license plate information. A minor inconvenience but seemed unnecessary.

I brought my fourth grade class and many of their parents to DH Day groups sites 1 and 2 in the second week of May. The views were spectacular from the campsites. I especially liked the tree coverage at site one. It made for lots of little pockets where people could set up their tents. Site 2 has less coverage, but you can see the dune better. There was lots of poison ivy off the trails. Also, our GPS address didn't have us turn down Harwood Rd. so that was a little confusing for people as we were arriving, but I think that was human error. We loved being so close to the dune climb. The fire pits were set very low in the ground, so be careful if you are bringing very young children to the sites. Site one had lots of lovely songbirds nesting in the trees that just added to the charm. I would definitely stay here again.

This review is for the Group Sites. AWESOME! We were in site 4. Would love to stay there again. Everything was fabulous. The Rangers are wonderful. Short drive to day park on Little Glen Lake. Could swim there. Glen Haven is right down the road for access to beautiful sand beach on Lake Michigan. Glen Arbor is right around the corner. Perfect!

The group campsite is well positioned for enjoying nature and Glen Haven beach area ( with a real toilet).

This was our 20th year at this location and it was just as fun and relaxing as always. Remember to place food in your vehicles at night and when you are not in camp - the racoons have become more bold in their pursuit of a meal.

Clean campsite, beautiful location. Will definitely be back.

Our students from Living Stones Academy in Grand Rapids had a fabulous time at DH Day group sites. Matt Mohrman was helpful in setting us up to do a service project in the park. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The group sites were perfect for our hiking group. Because of Covid we opted to camp DH Day. We usually go to South Manitou Island. This was our 21st year of all girl group hiking/camping.

Great location with access to the park facilities nearby. Park needs to enforce quiet hours better.

This is our 20th year camping here and it was as wonderful as ever. The location is well cared for and the check-in was easy. Enjoyed climbing the dune behind the campsite off the bike trail, kayaking the river, and spending time in charming Glen Arbor.

The people in the groups around us were very loud but I guess that’s what you expect when you’re at a group campground.

Dune climb is great fun, unless you are out of shape.

Great location for a fun, rustic group trip with 3 families and a couple friends. So much to do in the area.

I’ve been camping at DH Day several times a year since 1982. I am not a fan of your new reservation only policy. Thus, I moved to other campgrounds this summer, since you are always fully booked months in advance. It is only possible to get a site in the spring or fall. So disappointed that you don’t have some sites that are non reservation.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
