We always enjoy a stay at Sycamore Grove. The host is so sweet as she greets each camper and lets them know their site and any updated necessary information. The sites are well maintained as is the whole park. A great place for an overnight stay!

Co-hosts Lee & Sherman are kind, knowledgeable and just lovely hardworking people. Between them, the trees & all the birds my stay was fantastic! The bathrooms were the icing on the cake

Clean, quiet and affordable. Camp hosts we friendly, attentive and do wonderful work to keep the area nice. Nice level camping spots that are easy to get into. Plenty of walking/biking trails in the area. A new frisbee golf course and access to the Sacramento River. Campers have free use of boat ramp. Shower facilities were always clean and shower had plenty of hot water. Nothing to complain about during my 2 week stay.

Sycamore Grove is a very clean and quiet campground. We stopped for one night while traveling south in our campervan. We rolled in at ~ 7:00 pm without a reservation, but there were plenty of good sites available. After choosing a campsite, we just used the website to book it (we had good cell coverage there with T-Mobile).The main bathroom was clean and in good order. It has flush toilets, and the sinks even have hot water. There are coin-operated showers that we didn't use, but obviously work.There are a couple vault toilets on the other side of the campground, but we didn't use them, so I can't comment on them (but I'm guessing they're fine too).The campground is very conveniently located just a few minutes off of I-5. Remarkably, despite its close proximity to the Interstate, highway noise is absolutely not an issue at Sycamore Grove. It is quiet and very calm there. We will definitely stop here again.

I recently spent two nights here and was immediately impressed by how well-kept the campground is. The camp host, a dedicated volunteer, takes their role seriously but maintains a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and provided with helpful information about the campground's amenities and rules. Verizon users will appreciate the strong cell service, which makes it easy to stay connected even in this tranquil setting.The campground offers both electric and non-electric sites, with electric sites available for just $30 per night, an incredible deal for the convenience of power and water. Non-electric sites are even more affordable at $16 per night. The campground features scenic walking trails through the woodlands and along the river, as well as a boat ramp and a disc golf course, providing plenty of recreational opportunities. For larger groups, there is also a group campsite available.Amenities include hot showers that operate with quarters, though its important to bring exact change as no change services are available on-site. One notable limitation for RV campers is the lack of a dump station, which is something to consider when planning your stay. The campground enforces a quiet time from 10 PM to 6 AM, including generator use, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. However, campers should be aware that a train runs on the other side of the river, which can be heard from the campgroundlight sleepers may want to bring earplugs.For those camping with pets, the campground allows up to two dogs per campsite, and they must be kept on a leash at all times. The friendly and accommodating camp host, well-maintained grounds, and excellent amenities make this campground a standout choice. For just $30 per night for electric sites, its hard to find a better value.

Campgrounds themselves were great. The road into and out of the campground flooded while we were there. Stuck in the camp. Extra night no fee. Nice camp hosts that kept us informed about what was going on. The water finally went down enough the next night that we could get our motorhome out by going very slow as to not create a wake. I would still come back again as it is a very nice place.

Very convenient , close to I-5 when traveling. Yet quiet, clean, and well organized.

Nice sites, friendly hosts, great park with trails and disc golf. Only a 3 because the washroom facility is sparse and cold. No way to dry hands (ew) and too unpleasant (cold/dark, no matts) to use the coin op shower.

The campground is really good but charging a reservation fee for a same day arrival is not right.

A lovely campground that is nicely maintained. Host came over to greet me as soon as I arrived and gave me helpful information. I felt safe. Rest room was immaculate. Hope to have more time to explore the park on my next trip. I definitely plan to stay there again.

I love this park and have stayed here for years as I head south from WA state. The walks through black oak and sycamore trees add to the experience.

The campground was rather empty at this time of the year, early January. It was nice not being surround by lots of other campers. Campground host I met was very friendly. There was a clean restroom and shower facility, and the shower provided hot water with good water pressure at a very reasonable price (50 for enough time to lather up and even wash my hair). I was only here for one night, so I didn't have a chance to check out the hiking trails by the campground. There was also easy access to the river.

Easy to reserve site online, easy in and out of campground, beautiful site, wonderful walking trails adjacent to the campground. Highway noise is there, but not annoying. Would definitely stay again.

Nice campground. The hosts were great--helped me pick out a site and get set up with the online reservation system. Told me about a botanical garden to explore. I was only there one night, but it was the perfect place to stop for an overnight on my way south. Good showers.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
