We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the accommodations. It was nice to be so close to the reservoir. The cabin was a great place for our family to spend time together. Even with an infant. The road into the guard station from Manti was a lot rougher than we thought it would be. Id recommend a higher clearance vehicle. Just something to be aware of if youre planning a trip.

We had a very nice experience staying at Indian Creek Guard Station. The solar charging system was restored to fully functionality the second day of our stay and worked flawlessly for the entirety of our stay. We had plenty of water, including hot water for showering and cleaning. Cooking utensils were at a minimum so I would suggest you bring your own. We rode our SxS into Ephraim one day for lunch and supplies. The ride was an easy one with a good road the majority of the way. This was our second trip to the area. We stayed at the Orange-Olsen Guard Station on our first trip. We found both facilities more than accommodating. At 9400 feet the night time temps were very comfortable.

After staying in several other guard stations we decided to try out Indian Creek. Amenities and price are wonderful. Propane lights, stove, hot water, flush toilet and shower. The running water was a game changer since none of the others we stayed have had that. There is no wood burning stove inside the cabin. We gathered firewood on our way to the station as to not bring wood from other locations (per the sites requirements). Now why the poor rating. About 100' away is the USFS\DNR \Camp Host staying in his camper trailer, which is no big deal. What was a big deal is that he runs his generator from around 4:00pm to 9:00pm and then starts it at 6:00 am and runs until 8:00am. And the type of generator is not a Honda\Yamaha EU silent type. It is a cheap VERY loud unit.

After a rainy, muddy but beautiful 3 hour 50 mile drive from Fairview to Ferron Reservoir We were glad to have such a nice, clean, with HOT shower, toilet and lights - place to stay. The wildflowers were beautiful, the fishing GREAT ( My husband caught a brookie) - We will definitely be back and bring our kids (bunk beds to sleep 5) now that we know that the cabin is awesome

ANOTHER GREAT STAY, ALITTLE COLD, AND A FIRST FOR ME AFTER 35 YEARS OF CAMPING IN THE FERRON VALLEY, DRIVING IN A SNOW STORM, WITH NEW VISITORS, WHO WERE A BIT ON THE EDGE OF THEIR SEATS, ARRIVED AT THE CABIN, TEMPERATURE WAS 38 DEGREES AND TWO INCHES OF SNOW, NEW VISITORS FIRST FISHING TRIP. HAD A GREAT TIME, CABIN WAS COMFORTABLE, I THINK THE NEW VISITORS WILL BE A YEARLY RESIDENT. I FEEL GREAT KNOWING THAT I INTRODUCED THESE VISITORS TO THE GREAT EXPERIENCE OF CAMPING AND FISHING IN THIS AREA.

Would stay at this place 1000 times over. Good fishing, great privacy, amazing wood burning stove. Power lasted all day/night.

The cabin was terrific. It actually had solar power for the first two days and then it mysteriously ceased working. The setting was wonderful. We walked relaxed and just enjoyed being in the outdoors - but with most amenities of comfort.

Excellent experience. The cabin is just as advertised. I realize that the cabin doesn't officially have electricity; but with the solar panel, it does have some electricity. In 2018 when we stayed there, we seemed to have some electricity late into the night. In 2019, the electricity seemed to shut off at about 9pm each night. It would be nice to know the exact capabilities of the solar panel. Suggestion: install another solar panel.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
