Thus place was a great place to stay, especially if you like kayking and fishing. Make sure you don't follow google maps, it will lead you down a 1 lane road and we had to back our trailer up for nearly 1/2 mile. But the campground was definitely worth the trip.

The campground was great. The two host mother and daughter were both very sweet and friendly. They were the best ever. The people in the community also were helpful in that they not just gave direction but lead me miles down the road to my destinations. Restrooms and showers were clean and stocked with supplies. There was a brand new playground my grand daughter loved. All the camp sites were clean as well as the entire campground. The campground is on a large lake with a boat launch at the campground. The campground is the prettiest and most peaceful I have ever stayed at. The only negative is that the road coming into the campground is narrow. Locals seemed fine with it though. Bring a map as there is no internet for Map Quest. We enjoyed no internet at the campground as we played Old Maids in the evening with our 8 year old granddaughter. What fun.

Sites are WAY too small, and the one I was at was way out of level. No cell service.

Although the road getting back to campgrounds is kind of hairy, the campground was great! Clean, quiet and very friendly

This campground is well maintained and very clean! Beautiful views of the river. A very nice park for the kiddos! Will definitely be back again! Also great pricing on fire wood!

Trace Branch is my favorite camp ground. The camp host are the best. The grounds are well kept and the bathroom and showers are the cleanest I have seen in a campground.

Awesome drive to pretty lake with fishing access. No hiking trails. Very few trees in campground. Very popular with locals.

It’s pretty tricky getting in. There is a switch back that is very tight. We thought about getting out a different way, but the routes out (that an RV could take) were all closed for construction. The camp host is wonderful, friendly and helpful

Excellent quiet place. Be careful, the road in is narrow and curvy - sometimes only room for 1 vehicle at a time.

As always the hostess was amazingly helpful, friendly and she is constantly cleaning. Normally a bathroom smells terrible but the bathroom and showers were very clean and had supplies.

The campsite was great, super nice people, and really enjoyed the view. If you have an UTV or equivalent it's a great riding. Only have to warn about is take a surge protector due to it does flood there and power box might be damaged. Will definitely be back.

Wasn't prepared for the journey down to the reserve. It's a very small road going down the side of a hill/mountain with no guardrails. I drove my 24ft RV. It was definitely an experience. Great campground. Very well kept. * I had No cell service. But I was glad for that. :)

The road to get down to the campsite was very difficult to follow and there were no clearly marked signs. The camp sites were not clearly marked out for each site and were very small. On the upside, the access to the river was wonderful and the bathrooms and showers were nice and clean and very accessible. There is a nice playground for the kids and the grounds-keepers are super nice. Great destination for Kayaking.

I arrived in late afternoon on a weekday and there was only one other camper on the waterfront site. While the campground is set up for RV -style camping with pads, power and water at each site, it was fine for tent camping as well. Heavy fog during the night made it seem even more isolated — and it’s isolated enough on its own! — and peaceful. Great, friendly and accommodating host who lives on site made it even more enjoyable. Was quite a ride along a lightly maintained mountainous road with washouts in several places that made me glad I hadn’t had to find the campground in the dark. All in all a memorable experience largely free of mosquitoes and other bugs on the late June of 2021 day I was there.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
