This is a GREAT place to visit...A lot of room to relax and enjoy the park.While there is NO sewer hookup at the site, the dump station is clean and accessible. (No problem for a 3 / 4 night stay)Water and electric are available at all sites... Need to verify, but I think 30 & 50amp available at all sites.Hesitated doing a review, because I want to be able to go back. :)

We did a same-day arrival reservation for one of the open RV spots in C-loop Outlet Park. These spots are pretty highly sought after because they are mostly shaded outlet park fishing pond spots that are double width large lots with water, sewer, and 20/30/50-amp electric connections. The only real downsides to these spots are the longer drive through the outlet park to get to them, and their openness to the wind that typically plagues outdoor activities in Kansas. On-air TV in the C-Loop is all but non-existent unless you can aim east to Kansas City stations, as there is a large hill to the north that blocks connectivity. Cell service is adequate, but we've had experiences here where phone connectivity is poor quality and hotspot data streaming is challenged. It depends somewhat on who your carrier is. Walking to fish is possible from any spot in C-loop, and bicycling on roads and paths is a popular past-time because the terrain is flat. There are also hiking trails through the woods and around the fishing pond available, as well as a big-toy available for the kids near B-loop. The three loops in outlet park each have a nice shower house that includes limited laundry capability, but it may be a sizeable walk from some of the campsites. I highly recommend Outlet Park for your camping adventure.

We enjoy the full hook ups. We always come to the Outlet to do our end of the season winterizing. We also love the walking trails near the water and around the river! Just remember to bring your fire pit if you want a fire, you usually do in October.

NO HOT WATER IN SHOWER HOUSES!!!Other than that, our stay was pleasant enough. The pads are getting old and weren't super level, so that's good to know. Do be careful when picking your spot. The pull-through spots are multi-stay spots (3-4 campers) and it would be very easy to get stuck between strangers with no where to park your truck and/or no way to leave when on your schedule if the spot in front of you is taken. They don't feel worth the trouble unless you are arriving as a group with multiple campers.Did I mention we tried 4 different shower houses at various times throughout the day over 5 days and NONE OF THEM HAVE HOT WATER? To that effect, none of them had lukewarm water. I expected more from a COE campground.

This is a nice campground but needs more enforcement of the rules. Very quite, nice size areas. Wonderful playground equipment. Hard to get reservations unless you are able to plan 6 months ahead.

Melvern Outlet is what a COE park should be. Full hookups, level or mostly level sites, clean restrooms and showers, overall, a well-kept park. We go there at least once a year. We hold a gathering of 20-30 travel trailers/truck campers at this park because it is perfect for our get-together. We stay there without the group as well. I wish every COE park we stay at was like Melvern Outlet.

We pulled in the C loop to see what available site we wanted to stay in we decided on 140 we went online and paid for our site and backed our motor home in and got hooked up and was about all set up when a guy in a golf cart pulled up and rudely asked me ( are you going to check in ) we argued back and forth about it I told him when we stayed in the spring I didnt check in hes said thats a lie then his hands up and drove off leaving us to unhook load everything up drive the motor home back up to the gate to check in his excuse for the whole situation was there is a new ranger at the park and she is cracking down on the no shows when we got back to our site all of our neighbors were curious about us leaving and coming back and amazingly enough none of them had checked in either as we hadnt in the spring

Nice campground with sites with water views. We had a large campsite with plenty of room to park the truck after we unhitched from the rv. Nice shade with a water view. We enjoyed walking the trails.

Beautiful RV park. The volunteers, Brenda and Curtis, Bruce and Dorothy and Marty work very hard to keep the park nice and the checking process very easy.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
