Outlet (Melvern) Campground in Osage county is located 43 min south of Topeka, KS with an elevation of 979 feet. There are a total of 152 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the end of October. 137 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 80 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 135 sites have electric and water hookups. 2 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $66.00.

We pulled in the C loop to see what available site we wanted to stay in we decided on 140 we went online and paid for our site and backed our motor home in and got hooked up and was about all set up when a guy in a golf cart pulled up and rudely asked me ( are you going to check in ) we argued back and forth about it I told him when we stayed in the spring I didnt check in hes said thats a lie then his hands up and drove off leaving us to unhook load everything up drive the motor home back up to the gate to check in his excuse for the whole situation was there is a new ranger at the park and she is cracking down on the no shows when we got back to our site all of our neighbors were curious about us leaving and coming back and amazingly enough none of them had checked in either as we hadnt in the spring

Nice campground with sites with water views. We had a large campsite with plenty of room to park the truck after we unhitched from the rv. Nice shade with a water view. We enjoyed walking the trails.

Nice long pull through site in B Loop with 50 amp service & full service connections.Shade available from mature trees.Site was level. All good. Would recommend to others.

We loved our campsite spot except for the grass not being mowed. It was so high, we couldnt play any of the yard games we had brought with us. We were there for six days & seven nights & the grass was above ankle high the entire time we were there. The day before we left, a man came & mowed around the camp host, but no where else. It was very disappointing that we couldnt enjoy our yard games on any of the days we were there.

Melvern Outlet is a very well kept park with nice RV sites. Beautiful water views and shade. The volunteers who we have met here, Curtis and Brenda, Bruce and Dorothy and Marty are all very friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to make the Outlet the best camping area around.

Nice to have water, electric, and sewage dump all at your camper. Several trees for shade in B-loop, but so many gnats from 5pm-10am. Made it unbearable to be outside during that time. Also they wouldn't go away with the camp fire or bug killer. Also no fire rings or pits, you have to bring your own. Shower and bathrooms were great compared to others.

Outlet park at Melvern is one of our favorite go-to places. The grounds are beautiful and well kept with ample shade. We do lots of biking and trail walking. The beach is great too. if youre into boating the marina has everything you need although it is closed currently due to storm damage.

The CoE outlet at MELVERN campground is always a pleasure to camp at. It has well maintained restrooms, the sites are well groomed and nicely spaced out.
