We were in site D47. The light on the back of the restroom is really bright at night. It take away from some of the pleasure of the night sky.

We camped in a group, 4 campsites, family reunion. Campsites were all good and everything worked. The negative was, two of the bathrooms don't work, out of order. I received a written warning for parking my boat on the grass??? The camp attendant was like a warden at a prison. Check or ID to make sure we were legal using the senior discount. We did nothing wrong. And broke zero laws. Yes we all had fun but the park had nothing to do with it.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to camp in Kansas. Park attendants are friendly and take good care of the shower houses, and many sites offer direct water access and trees for shade and hammock hangs. The trail system is a great bonus!

We absolutely enjoyed our time at Venango. We were on site 29 in the D Loop. Although there's only electricity, we had a beautiful, panoramic view of the lake. Our loop Hosts were very friendly and helpful. A suggestion I would make during the check-in process, is to have campground maps readily available for those of us that have never been there. This is a good size campground with several loops. There are stores for supplies/groceries approximately 20 miles away, so plan accordingly.

Very nice location. The grounds were clean and relatively ant free. Our site (c03) was a lot closer to the play ground than to online photo shows. Quiet time was 11pm and children played right up to that time. I would come back to Venengo Park again, but a difficult site.

Need to trim some trees along the drive in A-loop. Hard to navigate around trees when cars are parked in the road.
@BrittanyW81539 · Camped on Jun 30, 2023 at Campsite #D3
Decent Site. It was clean and well maintained but the next site over backs right up to yours. We were lucky and got along with the campers staying in that site. But if you are wanting more space I suggest a different site. Closest Shower house was okay, it wasn't the worst one I've been in but it was tough to take a shower with a showerhead that only trickled and only stayed on for 30 sec at a time.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
