We stayed in #62 and it was absolutely wonderful. Very large area. Perfect place for our tent under a big tree. Short walk to bathroom. Bring flashlight after dark. No lights inside. This spot. Is next to the boat dock by about 40 yards. It can be busy at times but we loved the people watching .

The campsite was excellent! I always enjoy camping at Marion Reservoir. There were a few things that made it not quite as good this time though. The bathroom closest to us had NO LIGHTS! inside or outside! We had 3 women camping and no lights. The next bathroom had no lock and the door wouldn't close all the way.

Love this area, very clean and mowed. Tables are on concrete slabs with covered roofs. Quiet and peaceful.

We have stayed at 5 or 6 different sites. Some more than once. We like the full hookup option. With sewer water and 50 amp. The shelters over the picnic tables are a plus. The sights are larger than most other lakes in the area. Its usually mowed fairly short also. The blue green algae is a problem sometimes.

The ground isn't even so it was a pain to get my camper even. But a decent spot close to the water and bathroom

First time camping at Marion Reservoir. Booked campsite #5 because of shade and proximity to a shower house. Upon arrival and after setting up the campsite, became aware that the shower house was closed. Inquired of the volunteer host who indicated that the shower house had been closed for the entire season. Forced to change campsites. Recreation.gov has no alerts for Marion Reservoir. This shower house situation should have been posted as an alert.Despite the above, Marion Reservoir is well maintained. The alternative campsite and shower house were both very nice.

Enjoyed out camping site. Lake level is up and water is easy to access. Bathrooms were open and general condition were OK. Only bathroom with a working shower was in the newer section. Two closer bathrooms with showers werent operational. One had water knobs removed and bathroom in main central area of park was closed, blocked from use. Lawn was mowed and campsites were fairly clean. Trash deposited in fire rings was not removed- old diaper.

Good site close to the water. Nice accessibility to bathrooms. Tree cover is nice as well as being an end lot has extra room.

We always have a great time there. The full hookups are always a blessing and well placed. However that is not always the case with the fixed shelters over the picnic tables. Many of them were not designed well and are WAY too close to the parking pad for the RVs so that it limits use of awnings and any room between the camper and the table. Not a deal killer by any means, but sometimes we sure wish it had been thought out better. ALSO, there are a few spots that the angle to get backed into the spot added to the narrowness of the entry truly make it nearly impossible to get into the spot if you do not have awesome neighbors across the road that are willing to work with you on moving vehicles so that you can use that space in maneuvering. Certainly recommend looking at a Google map satellite view before booking if you have not been there 1st.

We loved this campground! Great area for bicycles! Beautiful area! We loved our spot although we had to back out of our spot even though it was a drive through as there was low hanging branches that were too low for our fifth wheel, but it wasn't too hard to back out.

Nice place. Hard to use boat dock due to low water and people leaving boats tied up all day and going to their campsite . Would be nice if loading and unloading at the dock was enforced.

Very kind rangers (when I accidentally camped at the wrong site!)
@TomC6900040 · Camped on May 19, 2024 at Campsite #63
It would have been nice to know prior that there are 20, 30 and 50 amp breakers available. Also, there is no water hookup and no sewage discharge. If you want water, you need to drive a bit over near the boat ramp and you can fill up your tank. Also, there is a dumping station near the entry gate to empty your gray and black tanks.

Nice area, quiet, but never saw camp host. Park ranger and County Sheriff made rounds. Park ranger able to answer question about check in/out times.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
