Very nice peaceful campground. High water limited normal access to the lake.

The camping is great . The trails are well maintained and marked. The map is very accurate and easy to read. The only negative was trying to get reservations on line. It took several trys to make group reservations.

Rockhaven Equestrian Camp is one of my favorite horse camps. Great sites are level and mostly shady. Plenty of pens. Good private shower houses. They could help us out with a few more water spigots throughout the camp. The trails are amazing!!!This place is easy to get to from all paved roads. I plan on staying at least twice a year.

Facilities are decent per usual. Not nearly as nice as they used to be. Camp host is not a horse person, and is not the friendliest. But a rule enforcer for the most part. So thats a plus.

These trails were amazing and marked really well. The restroom/showers were a bit dated, but clean. It was quiet at night. We will definatly be camping there again!

It’s a decent space. But don’t be surprised if you find horse poop on your site. Also, NO HOT WATER. The bathrooms were in rough shape- with bugs crawling around. I had to pass on a shower. This campground needs some help and updated maintenance.

100% recommended! Everything was well maintained. The only downfall was the lack of water hydrants, just had to haul water across the park. Very clean. Vert safe. Loved it.

I love going to rockhaven but this time was pretty disappointing I was told I could not overnight came on Friday because the trails did not open until Saturday morning which I was ok with at first I even called to make sure I couldn’t park in day parking overnight and was told no so I get there Saturday morning first thing and see that a lady that lives down the road that help maintain the trails has let 3 or 4 of her friends in on Friday and let them came on lake property without paying and acts like it’s her own campground very disappointing in how it was handled and still never got a answer as of why she has a key when she is not a employee

Very nice place

Such a hidden gem. Wonderfully quiet, has showers, and nice flat spots for tents (which I need). Good trails to hike and close to the lake. No direct access which helps keep it quiet! Might be busier I'm the warmer season, but great in November!

Very nice campground. I was tent camping over in the 5 sites, very clean and quiet. Showers were push button start, but plenty of water,

Great horse camp and trails. Nice pens for the horses. Sites are electric only, but water is not too far away. There are also some primitive sites (no electric or water).

Rockhaven Equestrian camp is excellently laid out for horse camping. The horse pens, level camps and electricity are wonderful. The refuse station, for both horse and people is nice. The camp host friendly and welcoming. The access to trails is nice, with trail markings easy to follow. Improvements: Water to be at each campsite with the electricity would be wonderful Additional refuse sites at all the corners of the grounds, (3 additional) Dump station at campground Non-horse campers to be re-directed to the camps for non-equestrians. Never is a horse camper allowed at any non-horse campground. While use of parks is important, the same "Overflow" situation could be allowed at non-equestrian camps. We are only asking for the same amenitites that the multitude of campgrounds currently have. (Mark Twain camp in NE Mo. Non-Equestrian campground with around 100 sites had water and electric at each site plus a dump station, they were currently adding sewer at each campsite. The equestrian campground had 7, yup seven sites, no water at site and no dump station. Horse campers spend more money on trucks, living quarter trailers, then the horse, tack and all items required to camp with horses. We pay the same taxes for fewer camps with less amenities. Why is that? Even parks with horse trails and campgrounds, don't have horse camping. (Park near Trenton, MO) PLEASE, help us! Thank you for your work and consideration of this request. Your loyal camper.

The park staff were kind and courteous, the other campers were supremely respectful, and it made for a really special night for one of my daughter’s first camping trips!
@RonaldS718 · Camped on Oct 19, 2021 at Campsite #33
When we arrived at the horse camp the horse pens had not been cleaned at all. There was horse manure in many places throughout the camp site, It was as if the previous campers let their horses roam and made no attempt to clean where the horses deficated. It would be greatly appreciated if the park ranger could do a drive through on the day people are leaving and insure they leave the pens clean or receive a ticket that has some consequence. Either a fine or not allowed to use the campsite for a period of time.

Beautiful campground and trails. Challenging terrain but not dangerously so. Appreciate the corrals being well-maintained and close to campsites, with attention to shade and water for horses. Would be nice to have water available at campsites for campers, and dump station nearby. Camp host was extremely friendly and helpful and experienced campers were helpful in sharing tips and trail guide information. Appreciate the trails being dedicated to walkers and horses versus open to bikes - this is a big plus and we will be back with friends!

Campground is clean and well suited for equestrian camping. Extensive and beautiful trail system. Many volunteer hours go into maintaining those trails and it’s very much appreciated. We need this equestrian park!!! Such lovely places are becoming few and far between. This place is truly priceless.

We love camping at Rock Haven. The camp sites are nice and they have several options to choose from. There are lots of double sites which is fun when you are camping with family and friends. The sites are very well maintained and have plenty of room. The horse stalls are big, Ours were covered which is much appreciated during the hots months. The only complaint we had with our last trip is that previous campers did not clean out their horse stalls. You can't take the knothead out of some folks. The park has a fun area for kids with a nice covered shelter for grilling and large gatherings. We like riding trails that offer a variety of terrine which these trails have. We appreciate they are well maintained. Thank you to those that keep this park and trails in such good condition. As always, we take out what we take in. We will definitely go back soon.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
