Very nice clean campground. Easy access to the south rim of the Grand Canyon.

Spacious somewhat but level sites in Black Bear loop. Larger than the sites in the other loops. 3miles to the South Gate of the Grand Canyon. Restaurants in Tusayan. Not much for groceries. The Grand Canyon movie at the IMax is worth the price.

Phenomenal campground! The cleanest camp bathrooms Ive ever seen.

Lovely campground, vault toilets were clean, stocked. Campsites were wooded with plenty of room between sites; did not feel crowded.

I spent 7 nights at Black Bear loop and loved every minute of it. The campground hosts were very friendly and kept the pit toilets very clean. The campsites are huge with very nice fire pits and concrete picnic tables. There are potable water spigots and dumpsters, but theyre near the entrance to the campground, not in each loop, which is a bit inconvenient, but not a deal breaker for me. Its a very quiet campground most of the time, but is near the Grand Canyon Airport so you will hear planes flying over occasionally. Overall I felt it was much better than the campgrounds in the Grand Canyon if youre looking for a quiet place to stay

Location of the camp itself is great; very close to Grand Canyon. The nature is beautiful. The campsites are very close to each other and there are no trees or anything to hide from other people. When we were at the camp, nearby was a big group of people that had loud music and it was very annoying; so if you are trying to be more secluded and away from other people this may not be a good place. Also; the soil is full of deep rocks so it was very hard to find a spot to put up a tent as the stakes would no go in due to rocks. But apart from that; the camp itself is clean, has bathrooms close by and well taken care of. I would come back for sure

Nice and quiet while we were there. The camp host was friendly and had a nice visit with them. It's close to the Grand Canyon so we visited the village area that we had not been to. Looking forward to going back to the campground with our bikes next time.

Great site near Grand Canyon, with far less people! Lots of shade with tall trees. Nice area to walk or run. Saw several huge elk laying in the camp site!

Its a very peaceful campground that is well maintained. Not many people were around us on this trip, so it very quiet. The hosts are as nice as can be.

I would have given it a great rating except for the morons in the group size who ran a very loud generator most of the night.

Very clean and quite

Campsites are nicely spaced in this campground, with lots of pine trees. S16 has a long driveway, but it's a hairpin turn to get into it. Also, it's a left hand pull through so your RV door faces the road. Worth a few minutes to do some planning on how you would like to park. Pad was paved, level, and clean.

Great campsite. Very clean, and the campground was pretty empty while there. Very close to the Grand Canyon, where we spent most of our time. Only downside is that it is very hot there during the summer months, but that is not the campgrounds fault. Will be staying there again!
@DonnieK8DE3AB4 · Camped on Jun 7, 2024 at Campsite #58
Great site close to Grand Canyon entrance. We just stayed one site in our adventure van. Sites were far enough apart and it was very quiet. Will stay again!

We were unable to get a campsite inside Grand Canyon NP but this location turned out to bemuch better; less crowded, clean and very close to the park. We saw elk on three occasions walking through the campgrounds.

Gorgeous! We wish we had booked more nights here. Very big, spacious sites (unlike campsites inside GRCA), clean vault toilets, elk wandering around. We couldn't hear any highway noise. Although, we did hear GRCA helicoptors. It was no problem to fill up our camper with water, shower, and do laundry at Mather camper ammenities. (The ranger even showed us where to park the camper while we showered.) It is a short (5-10min) drive to the West Entrance of GRCA and there was little to no wait at the entrance.Our only suggestion for improvement would be to have a trash can near the vault toilet. The only dumpsters are near the entrance of Ten-X/ Tusayan - Montane.We visited the week of/after Memorial Day. Perfect weather. GRCA wasn't too crowded yet.

Wry convenient to the Grand Canyon. Quiet at night and the hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Saw a few elk. Would definitely stay here again.

We ended up not needing this campsite because we went to one of the first come first serve options but the whole campground was too beautiful and easy to navigate through! Host's were very helpful and nice. Cell service was decent for Verizon carriers. We car camped and loved the amenities the site offered: easy parking, close bathrooms, water refill station, fire pit with grill, and the picnic table. We will definitely be staying here again! It's also super close to the National Park and town! ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR STAY HERE!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
