Very clean and beautiful site. Not too far off the road but you felt very secluded.

Awesome place! Found Indian pottery too but placed it back where I found it

Our site was near others but still had a sense of privacy. There was a restroom and large trash cans near which made clean up very easy. Some cell service from ATT but very weak.

Decent size site but has a large drainage ditch running through the center of the site. Almost took all of us out at one point or another at night.

Excellent location with great views. The nearby nature trail is great for those wanting a short hike with lots of informational posts. My camp site wasn't very level for car camping. It was well shielded from the winds which can be very strong. Highly recommend.

Love this place. Every site had a reserved sign on it, but campground only about 40% full? Very sad.

Nice campground.

The campground was very nice and there were plenty of rocks there for kids to enjoy climbing. Spot 70 leads into 71 so if you have noisy neighbors it would be a problem. We had a large enough pad for a 6 person size tent and 1 car only. Even though the campground was completely booked it didnt feel crowded. We got lucky with both the weather and good neighbors. The drive into the main part of the park was not a major inconvenience. This is a nice campground but the bathrooms smelled terrible so be prepared

Beautiful, secluded, comfortable, and well-maintained! Sits against one of the coolest rock formations in the park. We had a brief visit from a desert mouse but no other animal encounters.Note that you cant drive your car into the campsite (there are large rocks separating the parking spot from the camping area), so any car-tent or car-tarp combos will be difficult to use. Slippery downslope between parking spot and tent area may be difficult for folks with mobility issues to navigate. Additionally, rock climbers may need to walk through this site to climb the rock faces behind it.A short walk to cell service if you care about that.

Beautiful place with opportunities to Boulder among the many wonderful rocks throughout the campground. Pretty basic facilities however nearby (10 miles) shopping...

We thought the campground was inside Joshua Tree National Park. It was just outside of it but had the charm of the park with its big boulders. I laughed that we were camping like the Flintstones in Bedrock but it really was charming and private. Even though there were other campers around, it felt private. The vault toilets were clean and well kept. I would stay here again.

Went to Joshua Tree for some climbing, cant go wrong with staying at Indian Cove, even without getting into the main park, theres climbing all around. Camp sites are excellent, easy to get around. No water or cell service, but both are a short drive away if you need them. Perfect place to take pictures of the stars as well. Always a treat to stay at Indian Cove.

Absolutely amazing; easy to find, I love the fact that I could just back into a spot and have my camp right next to my car, and the views are outstanding; nothing beats the sky being lit by the moon & stars.

Indian Cove was a fantastic campsite and the surrounding area was gorgeous. It was nice and quiet although the parking was tight.

Great site, great campground. Only negative on this site is the fire pit. It sits between 2 large rocks with only about one foot clearance on both sides to walk around it. Seating on West and East side of pit but moving around it at night is dangerous. Two of our campers almost fell into the fire and both were completely sober. Also, westerlies winds blow all of the smoke eastward at the picnic table, continuously.

I read the reviews prior and they stated it could only fit a 2 person tent. Since I was a solo backpacker it would do just fine. I had a Lansham 2 tent. It requires guy line tensioners and hiking poles. So I was able to pitch my tent but the space is so small and the ground so hard it was too close to the fire pit to even consider a fire. I only stayed one night. My advise to you is to get campsite 41. Not only is it bigger and flatter there is a nice huge boulder to block the sun.

Once again, an incredibly beautiful trip to JTree and Indian Cove. Outstanding climbs, bouldering and hikes. Beautiful as always.

Excellent camp sites with great bouldering. Enjoyed shade behind behind rocks to get out of the heat. Loved watching the moon and stars late into the night. Heard owls and coyotes. Wonderful.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
