Pros: not many other campers, decent sized sites, fairly easy to maneuver parking, nice lake view from certain campsites.

They need to mow back the poison ivy its right up against the fire pits and into the campsite. Hard to keep young children out of it when its so close.

Its always a good time here!! The only thing they need to do is trim up the beach area!! Also they need to get the lady back to dump ur campers if u r they for weeks at a time!!

The campground was clean and taken care of. Was not impressed with the shower house at all. Was very unhappy with some of the other campers. Had to finally flag one down and chew him out for driving way to fast in the campground with kids around (of course he was drunk). We also said we wanted to try it so we did but probably wont go back. Didnt like the gravel. Got everything all dusty going in then it rained so got all muddy leaving. Also didnt like not being able to see the lake from there. Like I said. Well kept but wont return to there.

Nice secluded camping area, however, the road to get there is bad.

The current camp hosts are the best. I look forward to seeing them each visit. OWe did complain about the low branches at the dump station. Someone is sure to damage their A/C unit while going through there.

This loop is better than A in the aspect of not having to drive down the road thats falling apart. Its closer to shower houses and boat ramp.

This section (A) of Praire Ridge could use a little cleaning and update. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got up and left next morning. My family and I camp at Bridgeview every year and have camped at Praire Ridge many times but never in "A" section. Won't camp in that section again. Also had to drive a ways just to shower.

Early June, mid-week stay for two nights: nearly deserted (only two other campers), so it was a tranquil experience. Well kept lawns, restrooms/showers were above average. Good separation on sites, our site 24 was nice, on a point above the boat landing. Recommended if you find yourself in the area.

Once youre there its ok. The gravel to get there was horrible. Its pretty remote, nothing close enough to bike to or trails. Great views. The lake is down a pretty steep cliff from this site.

Love staying in A loop but would love to have an updated bath house there. Traveling to B loop for a shower is not convenient.

We highly recommend renting a pontoon from the marina and enjoying a day on the lake! Only con (and its not a big one at all) but there arent many shower houses considering the number of campsites.

Very quiet place to relax and enjoy the outdoors with family. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Quick to respond to any issues we had with electrical and swapping spots that fit our needs better.

Our stay at Prairie Ridge was excellent as always. We have camped at this location for many years and love it. Accommodations are very good and the staff very pleasant to interact with. The fishing, swimming, sight-seeing at Lake Rathbun is second to none. Make sure you check out Perch Point in Prairie Ridge Campground. The views from Perch are some of the best on the lake!

Campground is not bad but getting there is a choker for me rock roads just about kill me off with the dust. Need to get the county to pave them would be much nicer.

We had a very relaxing time sitting and watch the lake during the day and at night the star gazing is awesome. It was very quiet.

Gravel road leading to campground and black top in the campground need work. Very rough to drive on. Overall a good experience and will return. Very friendly volunteers that are right on top of checking you in upon arrival.

This campground is clean, quiet and spacious. The boat ramp is good and aside from fishing boats parking in the turnaround, is usually never crowded.
@JeffE4586179 · Camped on May 27, 2022 at Campsite #B13
Spacious campsite. Clean shower house. Host were very pleasant. Would have been nice to have water and sewer at site, but the price was cheap. This is my new favorite place to camp. I will definitely return!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
