Our reservation was for site 64, which is fhu. Our class C is 24 ft & there is absolutely no way to get level on this site. Thankfully the ranger allowed us to move to the Group Area (fhu), which is 1st come first serve. We were able to enjoy our weekend in a much nicer, LEVEL, site...with a view of the water.

Quiet location. We had a great pull through site with full hook ups. Firewood is available just outside of campground by private residents. Can walk to the boat launch on Lake Shelbyville. Would return.

Trails need cleared,sites were small and narrow, fire pits need moved away from brush line as we couldn't hardly use because of weeds. The campground was quiet which was a plus

Very nice park

The site we reserved said it would hold an RV up to 55. When we arrived the site was on a minor incline and would maybe fit a very small camper. The turn around was also very small and to avoid the concrete barriers we ended up jack knifing our fifth wheel which caused a lot of damage. The site information is incorrect and needs to be fixed. The gentleman at the gatehouse was friendly and helped us find a bigger site. We will not return and my faith in the state park website information is not good.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here at Lone Point. It is very secluded and about 20 minutes from Shelbyville. Many sites had very nice Lake Shelbyville views and we were able to get our kayaks launched near the boat ramp, even though it was quite steep. The shower house was very clean and we witnessed workers daily cleaning up the campground. The only complaint I would have is that many of the sites are unlevel and you may need extra equipment to get your camper just right! We will definitely stay again!

Site 49 is next to the lake. The site worked fine for our group (youngest child was 11) - but I would caution anyone with little kids or has anyone in the group who has trouble with balance/walking to avoid this site. The pad the camper sits left only about 2 foot of walking before an approx 8 in drop off the asphalt pad to the dirt. Just a bit beyond that is the drop off to the lake. There is a lot of (what appeared to be) dead brush obstructing the view of the lake from this site too. If this was cleaned up - the views would be much improved. There is a concrete pad behind where the camper sits with a nice large picnic table and fire pit. The shower houses were ALWAYS clean!

We had an awesome experience in LonePoint Campground! The shower house was extremely clean, the sites were large, the playground was small but works for young kids and there is a nice beech & large playground at Coons Creek, just minutes away We had 4 families camping together and everything was perfect.

I was originally booked into another site, but no matter how hard I tired getting close to level was impossible. The lovely couple working at the gate took the time to help me switch to a near perfect level spot with an amazing overlook of the lake. As it was a midweek stay I pretty much had that section of the park to myself. The washrooms were newer and nice an clean. I hope to be able to return to stay again.

Very nice scenery in the fall. This is one of the nicest campground s in the Shelbyville area with at least 15 full hookups and i think all sites are electric. We enjoyed our stay there.

We loved the buddy site.. we would love to book it multiple time for 2024 camping

Everything was kept clean. Bathrooms were good. We did not care for the metal unit for having a fire. We prefer something on the ground that's more open that you can sit around. Also it was difficult to get the firewood from sources outside of the camp.

We loved the site we had. And will be back. I wish these parks would sell ice.

Lone point is a very nice campground and bathrooms are clean. The only thing is the shower house needs an update.

Nice size campground. The dump area is low and tanks drain very well. It has lake view sites and sites tucked in the woods.Hosts were very helpful and friendly

Electric hookup wasnt working properly. Cell phone service didnt exist. Site was very nice and campground overall is very beautiful and quiet. But the power needs fixed.

We really enjoyed our waterfront site, however, 53 isnt very level so be prepared with several blocks and your steps being too high, even needing something extra under them. Showers are super nice. We would return.

Lone Point campground is a well maintained and has beautiful grounds. Most of the sites are shaded and spread out with some privacy. Also there are several sites which you can access the shore. Overall a great place to camp.

The best site in the whole park.... for a tent. The moon was fantastic, the breeze refreshing, the coffee in the morning....the best. My favorite!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
