Because our reservation was made late in the season we were only able to get a site in the upper loop which didn't put us in close proximity to the lake. We loved the upper loop. large sites mostly spaced out for more seclusion and privacy. We toured the lower loops and they are quite crouded. We enjoyed our stay and will go back to the upper loop. We included a visit to the Priest Lake Museum, it is small but worth the time. It is a must do if you are in the area, the Docent was very helpful and well informed.

Camp sites and camp ground were clean and well maintained. Live the vegetation of the upper loop, very private and quiet.

There was an issue with my reservation when someone stole it. The camp host was accommodating and working on a solution (glad one was found). Sites were clean, bathrooms stocked and noise level of campers were appropriate.

Beautiful location!! Campsites are well separated which provides sense of the woods.Our neighbor had three dogs that they left unattended in their campsite and they barked the entire time their owners were gone. It was worse than being in a city during that time as far as lack of peacefulness.I am certain everyone else was as disrupted and the campground host was only a few sites away, so they had to be aware. Something should have been done about this.We were at LB Bay twice in the month of August and we never saw a campground host during our stays. On one hand, they just let people have a good time, but they were not there to check on things either.The forest service needs to do some maintenance on the bathroom buildings, they functioned, which was great, but there is a great deal of build up on them that needed a good power washing.

I love this campground and have been camping here for over 50 years. The campsites are wonderful and the layout is really convenient. The only reason that I didnt give this a higher rating this time is because I was so disappointed in the condition of the bathrooms. It seems that the only thing that was done every day was dumping the wastebaskets. The floors, and even the toilets near the flush handle were so dirty. Otherwise, it wouldve been great.

Camp site was not clean. The fire pit looked as if it had not been dug out all season. Camp hosts dont seem to be doing much.

Luby Bay at Priest Lake is one of my favorite campsite in North Idaho. Site # 10 is perfect, just above the white sandy benches, perfect swim area, high peak mountain with a touch of snow in places, old growth forests, clean camp sites with the level paved pad for my trailer was absolute perfect. Deep fire pit with grate, large picnic table and a bear proof storage locker was all conveniently place in the site. The restrooms were flush toilets with sinks, outside was drinkable water spigots, just simply everything you could hope for in your adventure. One last thing, I even had cell service which I had 4 bars at the camp site unlike back at home. lol. If I could rate this campground from 1 to 10, I would give it 1000 score. You will no be disappointed.

We usually love our stay at Lube Bay campground, not this time. We havent had a camp host available at all during our stay. The restrooms havent been cleaned or serviced, no toilets paper and the trash cans are full.

Always enjoy this special campground

While the site is unmatched, the facility wasnt well maintained. No TP in the mens bathroom lower level is unforgivable. Paying for dump station that is fouled up by guests is unacceptable.

Site #23 had a good view of the lake and was fairly level. Bathrooms were nice and clean with running water and flush toilets. The trail along the lake to Hill's resort was fantastic (it's about 1 mile each way). Just before the resort there are some storyboards about the history of the early settlers. There is also a museum at the same location with restrooms. The museum was closed each time we went by (needs volunteers to man it).

Had a nice site in the upper loop but the lower area is where you really want to be
@LisaP2727528 · Camped on Aug 31, 2023 at Campsite #30
It was really nice campground except for having to pay for day use but the lake even though we had already paid for camping. Definitely should be included for campers

Always a great getaway at Priest Lake with large private, large area campsites.When the weather is good there is nothing better.

We were hoping to camp near the water but no sites were available so stayed in the upper loop. Camp sites were well cared for, clean, large and setting was beautiful. We will definitely opt for the upper loop when we stay there again.

We were lucky enough to get a last minute spot on the upper look, site 29. The spots are very big and spaced apart from neighboring spots. We will definitely plan ahead to come back and hopefully stay in one of the lower spots. The upper loop is about .3 miles downhill to the beach which would be fine if you're just taking a walk but packing all of your beach stuff would be quite a trek. There is parking at the beach but it costs $8 which seems kind of ridiculous since you already paid to camp there. The dump station also has a fee. I hope I was looking at it incorrectly, but I believe it says it's $8 per minute to dump! I don't know anyone who can dump that quickly! Luckily there is a free dump station 9 miles away, just outside of Coolin, so we went there. All in all it was a nice getaway!

Stayed in the upper loop. Shady site and private. Too far from the lake to walk there- that was disappointing. Only one toilet in the bathroom working intermittently- that was disappointing. Overall just okay.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
