Great for family camping experience. Restrooms were in good condition, and having access to water was a great feature.

We have stayed at McWilliams campground several times in the past few years. Our most recent visit over the 4th of July week was the best yet! From the time we entered the park and first met our camp hosts, Mark and Molly, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. The park and restrooms were clean and maintained several times a day by our hosts. They could be seen walking or riding in a golf cart through the park, several times a day, beginning before 7:00 am and even after 8:00 pm. One morning, I witnessed Mark following the weekly garbage pick up truck, and sweeping/shoveling up the garbage that had fallen out during the dumping of the receptacle. We waved at Molly every time we came through the entrance of the park, as she would regularly stop all who entered, to confirm their purpose or reservation in the park. I strongly feel that the constant vigilance and visual presence of Mark and Molly, mitigated any issues or uproars that can typically occur, especially over a holiday stay. During our stay, we visited the coffee shop and restaurant at the ski resort, which during the summer is used for down hill mountain bike riding, and is entertaining to watch while sitting on the outdoor patio while dining. WiFi is free to use there and pleasant conversations with strangers are plentiful. Nature, fresh air, bird watching, hiking and star gazing are unlimited. We came home from this trip and reserved an additional stay at McWilliams because of the outstanding experience we felt this time; due to Mark and Mollys hard work and devotion.

One of the cleanest campgrounds we have ever been to. The bathrooms were spotless and not stinky, nice sized campsites. Friendly staff. Keep an eye out for the wild horses. We did lower bristlecone trail right next to the campground. Awesome time!

The campground was well cared for by the camp hosts. Since there are so few options for camping in the summertime in Las Vegas, McWilliams is a popular campground. The camp hosts were on top of all the first come spots. Bathrooms always had toilet paper, and the water spigots are new and work great.

This campground is in a great location. Sites are nice though there is not much privacy in any of them. Hosts were friendly and kept restrooms clean and stocked. Only downside to me is that there is a lot of traffic thru the campground of people looking for the first-come first-served sites.

The campsite and facilities were immaculate. The campground host was courteous.

Clean, well maintained camp sites, flush toilets and running water are a MUST for me when I camp. Camp host, upon learning I was tent camping alone, made a point to stop by every day just to make sure I was doing okay. I cant wait until next summer!

Our camping experience was good but not great this time at McWilliams. There were more vehicle traffic and music was blasting until late hours. Even a tour bus showed up! And not a single ranger seen to control the chaos. We are not so happy this time. The campsite is getting to be ghetto and it is sad cause it is closest to home.

Great campsites with lots of room, fire pits are very handy how they are set up along with charcoal grills. I didnt set up a tent but the tent areas are laid out really well. Bathrooms were clean and stocked well.

The views from our campsite were excellent! The site was great for our tent, and the tables, fire ring, grill, and stand for the camp stove were in excellent condition. Seeing wild horses so near the campground was also incredible. It would have been helpful if the website provided information about firewood. Firewood is not sold on the mountain so we had to drive down to purchase. The Spring Mountains visitor center is a mustthey provided helpful advice and information about hiking trails (and were the ones to tell us where to purchase firewood).

We love staying here, the sites are so clean and spacious! The camp hosts are always so kind, this time we met Mark and his wife and they were great people. Highly recommend this campground, its a great way to get away from Vegas heat and enjoy the outdoors.

If you come up from Las Vegas, bring colder weather gear! The forest is lovely here.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
