Beautiful campground we only wish they would stay OPEN LONGER

Beautiful park, and we love the waterfront sites that allow us to launch our kayaks directly from our campsite. The restrooms cleanliness seemed less than stellar this year and it would be nice if the dockramp to the little fishing/water-viewing dock could be fixed -- it has been broken for a number of years. But overall, we love this park, especially the easy water access to Brevoort Lake and the relative privacy of the sites.

Hosts were very helpful. We were there for 4 nights i did not find the toilets being cleaned Loved the over all experience at the place. Lake was very clean and the whole atmosphere was peaceful It would be nice to have showers at the place even

Our family really loves his campground. It is the top destination for us to camp at each year. The extremely large Lakefront sites are amazing. We are unconcerned that there are no showers or electricity. We do appreciate the bathrooms with flush toilets. I know this particular campground recently had a change in its contract/management. There are new Camp hosts. They were very nice and we had to deal with them several times over small matters and found them to be very accommodating and friendly. We do miss the sale of firewood and particularly ice at the facility. We did think the bathrooms could have been cleaned more frequently. Nonetheless, this is absolutely the finest campground in Michigan as far as our family is concerned. A true gem in Michigan!

Just beautiful! Would definitely return to this area if it wasn't so terribly far away from TN. Spacious campsites. Beautiful beaches. Convenient to Mackinaw. My favorite rec.gov campsite and area in our entire North Woods trip.

Our favorite campground by far. Close to Lake Michigan beach. Large sites. Quiet campground.

By the web site I was led to believe that there was going to be kayak rental available, that was not the case. The camp host was taken back that I was even led to believe that. That's fine. The fishing pier was not accessible due to neglect. With those two let downs our kids were needless to say disappointed with the experience. The natural barrier between campsites left a lot to be desired. Trash dumpsters were a long walk for tent campers.

Absolutely loved being back at Brevort lake this year. New hosts were very friendly and kept the bathrooms and grounds very clean. Perch fishing was great this year, and had Perch dinners every other day. We will be back next year for 2 weeks.

A great campsite, beautiful views of the water, clean campgrounds and clean facilities. We took a day trip to Mackinac Island via the ferry in St. Ignace and then spent our second day on the shores of Lake Michigan just pulled off from US-2. Great location and easy to get around!

Since 2015 this campground has been meticulously kept and cared for by the same purveyor.For reasons not fully understood the campground was closed summer of 2023.It is now open but in much need of care taking, cleaning, raking, mowing, restroom maintenance, firewood, ice, boat launch repairs and clean up.Neglected in ways most campers have not experienced before.Beautiful location, just needs "work".

Such a picaresque campsite, with water access just a few steps away! Also, probably one of the quietest campsites we've ever been to, even with other sites all around us. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Site 18 was perfect! Huge lot( fit 2 cars, a 10 person tent and still had room for more tents), fire pit and bench. Steps away from the lake. Stellar view of all the stars in the sky. Saw so many shooting stars. Rented kayaks brought me back to the site. 10/10 definitely recommend.

This campground is absolutely beautiful. You can still enjoy camping in an area that looks like the forest. I recommend the Ridge Trail for a pretty walk in the woods. In Saint Ignace visit the The Museum of Ojibwa Culture. It is the best kept secret in town. If you would like a drive for the day, visit the End of the Road Winery in Germfask, delicious wine and lovely people.

Great site with a view overlooking the lake. Great for watching sunsets. Nice and clean. Big fire rig. Lots of space for our conversion van.

Really nice campground on the lake. Most of the sites on the island have lake views but the other loop is more private and has beautiful trees. We were surprised to find a snack shop that was open in the evenings. There was a canoe, kayak rental at the boat ramp. The picnic area was a nice hike from the campground. There was a fresh water fill at the entrance by the dump station and spigots throughout the campground. The only issue was the one way dump station when everyone is lined up it blocks the road to enter or leave the campground. Close enough to drive to Mackinac Island for a day trip.
@GailW2758976 · Camped on Aug 9, 2022 at Campsite #6
Very nice campground. The bathrooms are clean, the grounds are kept trash-free, and the sites are cleaned after each guest leaves. Sites are nicely spaced apart with trees between so we could hardly see our neighbors. And if you eat peanuts at the campfire, the chipmunks and squirrels are a hoot as they try to chase each other away in hope of getting some peanuts! We had our own kayaks and could keep them and launch them right at our campsite, as we had our own little private beach. They also have kayak and canoe rentals for very reasonable rates, if you don't have your own. We LOVE the old fashioned campground (1950s decor) food truck what has a large variety of different treats for adults and children. This was our 2nd time camping here, and we will definitely return!

Absolutely one of our favorite campgrounds. Love that we can launch our kayaks right from our campsite to enjoy the lake. Immaculate restrooms and large, roomy sites with lots of privacy. Just a 5 minute drive to the beach along Lake Michigan to watch gorgeous sunsets! This place is a real gem!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
