The campsites were huge! We didn't even know anyone else was there. The Host was very friendly and helpful! It was very clean, easy access to water, and electricity worked! Lake is beautiful and very clear. Also hiking trails were fun and good even for kids. We'll be back!

I camped at 7 campgrounds around the UP. I can't remember a thing about this one. It must have been nice, quiet, and comfortable! Not breathtaking excellent, but very good!!

This is a beautiful campground with large and private sites. We have a 33' 5th wheel and we had no issues getting into our site. (#36). The campground host was very helpful and friendly, and we appreciated her guidance regarding extending our stay. This was a good location that allowed us to make day-trips to several beautiful destinations. Also of note, the sunsets over the lake were amazing! The only negative I have is the potholes, as mentioned by many, as they are hard on vehicles & RVs.

Facilities were very clean. The water was the best - cold & clean tasting! Very quiet & peaceful place to stay.

campground was clean and quiet though the road into and through the park is in need of some work. there are a few holes that could break something on your equipment.

Very quiet. Campsites spaced apart. Campground road has deep potholes.Extremely clear lake great for snorkeling.

Excellent campground with large private sites. Watch out for the numerous potholes when you come in. Does not have a dump or RV water fill onsite but can use the Indian Lake State Park dump for a $10 fee if you have a state park recreation pass.

Nice lake and beach. The dog was able to swim off a walk in path about a quarter mile from the beach. Not mucky and fairly shallow. The out toilets are also well maintained.

We had a great time at Camp 7. The only thing I’d say is they need to fix the road going into the campground. It’s horrible. Full of pot holes that you can’t avoid. I’ve never seen it so bad.

We've camped here twice and it's very clean! Caught a nice sized bass right off the dock!

Loved the sites, EXCEPT no dump station. (We had an electric site.) Glad we accidentally found out before we got there because we needed to dump both before arriving and after. Loved the beach, pier and paved trail along lake. Please make it more clear on maps and electric site signup there is no dump station. We had to call the Rec.gov phone number and got jerked around with long messages before we got to a real ranger station secretary who told us the nearest dump site was Coswell Lake 27 miles away.

Reservations and First come First served needs a lot of work.

Great place, great camground. Please send a little money and repair the multiple pot holes in the road! There are more pot holes than camp sites.

Campsite was clean and well maintained. Our spot was nicely shaded and flat for our tent. Bathrooms were clean. I would come back.

We spent our time at Camp 7 relaxing and enjoying the rustic beauty of this campground. We met a lot of other really nice people, but also enjoyed the huge campsite that was wonderfully private. The lake was warm, everything was clean. LOTS of great trails to walk on. We had a great time!

Vault toilets had NO toilet paper all day Sunday. Loaded with dead flies covering floor.

The last time I camped here I was about 7 years old, in the mid 1970's...now, again single, I took my English Springer and RPod for a visit. First, the (only) negative...flying gnats...I checked in on May 15th about 2 PM and if my dog wasn't snatching at them, I was swatting them away from my face while getting camp established. They seemed to subside around 4 PM, but were back on day two. On day three, they were pretty much gone. The good, positive, and great: quiet, secluded, & serene. Granted, I was there on Day 1 of the season, with only the Campground host and one other camper several sites down from me. The pit toilet I used was clean, with a daily cleaning checklist posted inside (I used on-board camper plumbing for #1...). The lake was crystal clear with minnows swimming around as I took the pooch in for a couple of dips. Another reviewer took issue with the quality of the roads, but for out-in-the-sticks in the UP, not too bad. I look forward to a return excursion.

This is a very nice camp ground with large sites, nice shade trees and a clean environment. There is a nice trail that extends to Van Winkle Lake. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Our stay at camp lake seven campground, in Michigan’s upper peninsula, was wonderful. Camp lake seven accessible and clean. is Camp lake seven is located close enough to Lake Michigan and Lake Superior to make a day trip to each feasible and fun. The camp host was accessible, knowledgeable, and friendly. Camp sites are spacious and clean.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
