Beautiful forested and tidy campground. Private well maintained sites with newer picnic table and space for medium size trailer and larger tents. We had a great experience. It was quiet and just as described. We liked the access to multiple trails without driving. The water is from a well pump which is a little difficult to operate, but the water tastes great and was cold. Just FYI there is no firewood for sale on-site. Also, if needed, a RV dump station is about 25 minute drive to the Branbury Lake State Park.

Really liked the quietness and remote-feeling of this campground. Used it as a basecamp to hike multiple trails in the area and it was absolutely perfect. 20 minutes of driving away from great trails. Was way more quiet and enjoyable in the weekdays, got pretty full once the weekend came and was noisier, but overall a great experience there. I was on #005, but I would choose another site if I were to come back. Trees were pretty far apart so hard to setup a tarp (that was needed as it rained a lot while I was there). Would recommend the Skylight Pond trail that was my favorite in the area

The campground host was really nice ! He gave us water bottles. We sadly forgot to ask for his name before we left. We were at the site 4. Laurence et Michelle! The park was realky pretty, it was quiet and calm. We did a nice hike to see silver lake and it was really fun! Even though Michelle broke her ankle when she fell on a rock. The only negative point would be the toilets. I almost got sick on the second day because of the smell. But overall, an amazing experience

The site host, Wayne was kind. He was not aware of attractions or local shopping. He kept the campground clean and provided firewood as needed. The potable water was a 2 person pump, hindering my ability to get any while there. Wayne gave me what he got from American Legion, where he got his own from. False advertising about what at that site is how I perceive it. The toilets were well kept.

We had a nice experience during our quiet stay. I was disappointed in finding no resident camp host instead this year. When visiting two years ago we enjoyed meeting the couple hosting that year and hoped to meet again.

Very nice little campground. Pit toilets clean. I would say the hand pump water is not potable.

I was very impressed by the tidy campsites and surprisingly pristine vault toilets. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting, with a nice variety of hiking and biking options. The only issues that I had were that the hand pump was not working so there was no water available on-site, and the surface of the campsite is so hard-packed, I could not get my flimsy tent stakes to penetrate the crushed stone surface.

This quiet & beautiful campground tucked away on a back road was a beautiful spot to bring our 3 month old for her first camping trip! Unfortunately, the water pump was broken and we weren't notified except by a sign when we arrived. While we had brought some water, we expected to be able to refill our bottles as they advertised this as something the spot had.

Well kept crushed stone site. Good firepit and solid picnic table. Stump by the pit for chopping firewood. The well for the campground was not working while we were there, so no water.

Moosalamoo Campground is very well maintained, campsites are level and clean. The pit toilets were also well maintained. Internet is spotty, but you will get a bar of LTE on AT&T. Bring $15 in cash as the mobile check-in system is a bit spotty with the lack of cell service. I will be back to explore the area.

Great campground. Great motorcycling area, fantastic hiking and mountain biking area. Make sure to stop at the Ripton General store on 125 for a nice selection of VT wines and cheeses. Plyler and Penny (the camp hosts for the last 4 years) have made this NFS campground one of the nicest and best maintained I’ve had the opportunity to stay at!

Clean, well-kept and quiet campground. We liked the firepit style with an easy-to-use grate for cooking. Don't miss the view at Voter's overlook!

I love this campground! I have stayed here many times over the last 30 years, and its never been in as good shape as it has for the last 6 years due to the caring attention of the campground hosts Penny and Plyler. It is probably the best kept NF campground anywhere!

Beautiful campground, great hiking, but on our 6th night (Fri, 08-05) a very loud and obnoxious group set up close to our site and made a racket for some hours in the evening. Then, on Sat. morning, 08-06, a large group of people were running hounds on trails near the campground at about 5 or 6 am. Apparently, they were treeing animals in the area, probably bears. I've never seen or heard of such a thing in a National Forest let alone next to a campground where families go for a quiet and peaceful experience. We left mid-morning and won't be back. Too bad, it's really a beautiful spot and we enjoyed our time up until Fri. evening.

this trip was one for the books. huge thanks to the campsite hosts for everything that they helped up with. the gravel area was great for when it rained (your tent stayed dry) I went with two of my girlfriends and we had an utter blast. the hosts were very kind and willing to help us out with anything we needed, from directions to where to find wood, and even a wave as you drive by. the bathrooms were a very nice asset along with then potable water as well. and while there aren't showers there are many places with water nearby to bathe in. I would recommend this camp to anyone and I will be returning with more of my friends soon.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
