Gros Ventre Campground, Grand Teton National Park, WY

Gros Ventre Campground is part of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming (2 hrs 5 min east of Idaho Falls, ID) with an elevation of 6,578 feet. There are a total of 308 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of April to mid October. 271 sites can accommodate RVs between 13 and 51 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 35 sites have electric hookups. 1 site has water hookups. Fees range from $57.00 to $570.00. Some amenities include dump station, restroom, flush toilets. Activities include fishing.

Nice campground close to Tetons. Campsites are well spaced so neighbors aren't really noticed. Hosts are awesome...

Nice campground and good spot in it. There is only one campsite near by, meaning that we did not feel neighbours around. Super nice view. The only disadvantage for this specific campsite is that it is quite far from the bathroom.

Gros Ventre campground is a favorite destination for us - this was our first fall visit (week prior to the campground shutting down). It was wonderful as usual, however, this time many of the sites around us were vacant adding to the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, campground well maintained, and scenery spectacular. There was a large fire that started from lightning in the mountains outside the park causing visibility issues and this event was mitigated by a south/southwest wind which cleared the park and surrounding area revealing the incredible Tetons. A great destination!

Well spaced, level, and paved parking spaces. Large bear boxes useful for securing many items, including firewood ;). Moose every morning in camp areas. Clean bathrooms, but older low dish water disposal station (needs updating to counter and sink like Yellowstone camp grounds). Given nightly price, should have showers.

Many wonderful experiences nearby starting with the Mormon Row. The drive around the lakes stopping for various hikes is well worrh it. This is a big campground. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. I do find this campground a but pricy for a place with no showers and only cold water. We stayed in others on this trip for less with more anenituties

Beautiful campground. Paved sites, clean restrooms, friendly and helpful camp hosts. We had a bull moose walk right through our camp. All around great experience.

Orig had 3 diff reservations. They were able to find 1 spot for our time vs 3. Woke up to a Bull Moose, 2 cows and a baby in camp! Quiet, enjoyable, beautiful scenery, close to all we wanted to do! We will be back

We love this campground. The staff id very helpful and professional. The sites are clean and spacious. The scenery is very nice and the grounds and restrooms are always well kept.

We love it when we get there. We never know 6 months in advance if were going to be able to make it. We had to move 3 times. It gets more difficult to manage reservations all the time.

If youre OK with renting dirt for $55/night you will love this place. It is beautiful and very easy to get into and out of. One of the best dark sky places you will find.

This is the second time we camp here ~ first one was amazing however, this last one we were a little disappointed due to all the overgrown bushes/grass. Hopefully, next time its not as bad.
