This campground was surprisingly quiet for the holiday weekend we were there! The restrooms were clean, and the campground was clean. Our disappointment lies in how close together the campsites are, giving little to no privacy with many. We had reserved site 5 for use with our small teardrop trailer and discovered upon arrival that although our trailer would parallel to the site (but not within the site), the parking area was not level enough to accommodate the trailer! Why is this site listed as being able to accommodate a trailer? Fortunately a FCFS site with better elevation was available that we were able to move to, even though it meant another payment. Better photos and descriptions on this website could help these situations!! Our other concern was there was no camp host onsite. Although this was a quiet campground, we did see a mountain lion at the entrance of the campground. Having someone to immediately report this to wouldve have been helpful.

Stayed in #11 with a 27-foot camper. The turn around at the end was good though anything longer would be difficult. Getting into the spot was also tough but once we were set it was great. Campground was clean, especially pit toilets. Hate to recommend because it was that good!!

Beautiful site off the beaten path, highly recommend. Could even hear the river flowing from the site

Campground was clean, vault restrooms were clean and well-supplied. The camp area is beautiful.

Nice clean campground with no one else there.

Loved the area, not internet service made wonderful. the sites are nice and flat, most of them perfect for groups, if not a little too close to each other. site 6 is big. 4/5, 7/8 and 9 perfect for a group camp. the river is more like a creek. vault toilet somewhat clean, but smelly. I will definitely camp there again.

Beautiful campground but there is no host on some of the days cause they go to other surrounding campsites. The campground is clean and spacious. Cute little creek close by. The trail that you could take is not maintained and the path has disappeared from growth and lots of fallen trees. Really wanted to hike it but just couldn’t. I’ll return one day to camp since it is a great campground.

This is one of the cleanest campsites I've ever been to. The garbage was emptied regularly, and the vault toilets were very clean. They even had some air fresheners in place which is a nice touch! We went during the week, so there weren't a lot of campers nearby. The sites are fairly spaced out to where you don't feel cramped, with the exception of a few. I've seen a few reviews stating the lack of potable water, but the water pump was functioning just fine when we were there. My only complaint is that there is no place to obtain firewood nearby, but that is a minor inconvenience as we just traveled into Bingen to get some. There is no real swimming spot, but there is a small creek that flows through the campground where you can get your feet wet. We ended up going over to Hood River to spend the afternoon and swim. All in all, this was a great place and we plan to visit again next summer!

We stayed in spot #1 in August 2022. It was mid week so we had no neighbors close by. It's a nice shady spot, with access to the river. As someone else said, #1,2,and 3 are very close to each other, so would be good for a group, or not good if you wanted more privacy. We took our 27' travel trailer, and it worked fine in that spot. We were able to back in easily, and later pull back out to leave, without heading further into the campground to turn around. There are places in the campground to turn around if necessary, but the circle at the end near campsite #15 would be pretty tight for a large RV. The map makes it look like the campground road re-connects with FS-18 near campsite #15, but it does not. You have to go back out the way you came in.

This is a quiet, small campground in a grove of large fir trees. Not many trails near by (only one we found within walking distance was marked 'most difficult' and an interesting hike in parts more like a climb).

This is an older campground with spacious site settings. It was very quiet with lots of trees. If you are looking to play in the water, however, you will be disappointed as this tributary of the White Salmon would be more correctly labeled as a creek. The only water source is located at Site #4. The water did not have the rusty appearance one finds at most campsites. The toilet vaults were kept clean and the trash cans were emptied daily.
@RogerH7061222 · Camped on Jun 16, 2022 at Campsite #15
The water was turned off and there was no email to let us know that we needed to bring our own water. Also was no firewood to purchase.

The campground itself, extremely clean. Unfortunately the sites are so close together, there is zero privacy. Also, I booked this because it had water available…. No water available on June 9-11. I was pretty bummed when I got there. It was a 2 hour drive. I looked for a campground host my first day, to ask questions (maybe they knew a place I could get water) but never found one, nor did one ever come by. I would not recommend this if you are looking for quiet and privacy.

Beautiful campground! Site 11/12 had direct access to the little White Salmon River and was very spacious. All the camp sites seemed to have a lot of privacy. The campground was nearly empty the weekend we stayed.

It was a rainy weekend so we cut our trip short. Campground was nice but the sites were definitely setup for groups to rent 2-3 sites together. The camp map does not do a great job of showing which sites are open to one another and we reserved site 2 which was right in the middle of 1 and 3 - all three sites basically open to one another. Also, the website said potable water was an amenity at the campground and we discovered no water was available. We did like that there were few people there, we could easily get to the small creek and there were some short trails nearby!

This is a small campground at the end of the pavement, some sites are close together and some spread out, we really liked this site. Its very big, plenty of tent spots, the little creek is just over the bank and the clean bathroom is just across the way. no phone service for US Cellular, but can get service just by driving down the road to the Moss Creek Campground area. very quiet while we were there. The friendly camp host, who stays at Moss Creek, comes through 3-4 tines a day.

We had a great experience at OK campgroun d. Hosts Vicky and Jason were welcoming and had firewood for sale at morning and night. They also carried dog treats which helped our puppy’s first camping trip go even better! The sites are spacious and the toilets clean. Overall great place!

Clean, well kept, friendly host. A 4 instead of a 5 because the sites were so dusty. Will stay again!
@TealH219 · Camped on Aug 17, 2020 at Campsite #4
We camped at site 004, which is next to the well pump for [potable] water and adjacent to 005. No one camped at 5 while we were there (just one night), which was nice because the sites are almost shared in the way they’re set up. Both are right along the river, which was quite loud at night. (I enjoyed the white noise, while my husband found it to be a little less enjoyable but didn’t keep him up.) The camp was very dark at night and otherwise quite. Bathrooms were clean and the camp hosts were excellent, even letting us borrow a rake to clear fallen pine needles! We bought wood bundles and they burned well.
@TracyG936 · Camped on Aug 1, 2020 at Campsite #8
We camped at #8 because it was the only one available, and even tho it does not say tent, just trailer, we managed to put two tents in the space. The campground map is a little misleading, it's not on a loop, the road ends right there, but we really liked that as no one could drive by. The closest neighbors is #7, and their fire ring and table was pretty close to ours, both spaces together would be good for a group. Overall had a great weekend, it was quiet, but never met the camp host, wasn't even sure if there was one. Oh, it was hard to find a path to the water.

Large sites, great camp host, and several hikes close to camp. Enjoy!!

We spent 2 nights at the Oklahoma campground in July 2020. We had a great experience but wish there was more access to the river. The campground was pretty quiet and is beautiful. Mosquitos weren't too bad. We were able to get our 34' Fifth wheel into our spot - make sure you check the site dimensions to determine if your RV will fit.

Campsite are closer together than the campground map made it appear. Luckily our neighbors were gone often throughout the day. Mostly quiet. No walking creek access

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
