love COE campgrounds. Please do not transfer to a county to maintain !!! Please keep Winfield open year round. The counties up and price and don't honor our senior passes. Winfield is the cleanest campground I've ever been to.

We love Winfield. The camp host Tonya and Nanatte are the best. They are always so helpful and accommodating. Our sites are always clean. We are always treated great!!

One of the nicest campgrounds we have ever visited. The site was plenty large, well maintained, and the view was great. Spacing between campsites was plenty.

One of our best camping trips. We stayed on campsite 32, one we stayed on when our children we little. Brought back a lot of memories.

Excellent place to camp. The people that run the campground are great. Very nice & keep the place very clean. They know the area & have suggestions for help if you need it. The ants are a really big problem on some of the sites. I would suggest a good spray for your camper or tent. The sunsets are the best. Views of the lake can be seen from almost every site. Sites are pretty big & some are very private. Try Maggie Jaynes SnowCone place if you bring kids. Its great. And they welcome dogs. Baby Jos is a great place to eat or take out. But go early because they run out of the best food. The only downside of Winfield is that they are not open year round.

Had a great time. We have been to Winfield several times and really enjoy it! We was really hoping the campground would be open fall and winter ... we love to camp when the months are cooler. Hope to get back before they close up for the season.The ladies that run the campground are great! Winfield has the lake to enjoy a beach and play ground. Not to far away from Evans Ga. where many there are many dining options.

Beautiful breathtaking views of the lake at this park!! Glad to have been able to camp here. Everything nice and clean, well maintained!! We enjoyed our stay so much, just wish it would have been longer!! Love staying in the coves so the winds aren't so strong when a summer storm comes up. Last minute find and they sure accommodated us!!

Easy. Fast. Convenient

We really like Winfield, but not spot 51. There is a wash in the pull through that creates a muddy mess. And the curve of the pull through is a little tight for our 35 foot camper.

The family so enjoyed their time together and the staff there is beyond phenomenal. Always friendly and welcoming and they have a great attitude towards the community. The lake is the lucky one and I love being there,

Great campground. Clean. Well maintained. Strong thunderstorms took the power out for 8 hrs our first night. No AC in July in Georgia isnt fun. Wouldnt advise leaving outside items /awnings unattended in the summer due to the strong winds kicked up by afternoon thunderstorms. Purchased a 5000w generator in Augusta - one night without AC convinced us it was time to check that off our want list. It came in handy as we experienced power outages (storm related) every day we were there. No fault of the campground- these were strong severe thunderstorms Loved our site- very spacious. Easy water access. T- mobile 2-3 bars when we had shore power- resorted to a Verizon esim data plan only during power outages- 3-4 bars. Tmobiles coverage was severely diminished during the power outages. Verizons- not so much. Despite the weather related issues we had a great time. Will revisit earlier in the summer next year before the severe weather season hits.

Great staff! Clean level and spacious sites. Rocky lake bottom and shoreline. Good sandy beaches for swimming area.

This park has the hardest working hosts of any park weve stayed at. Always out cleaning and working. The park does need some updating at some sites and need to clear out some of the underbrush blocking views of the lake. And please puts some fans in the bath houses!
@BrittanyM50379 · Camped on Jul 3, 2024 at Campsite #73
73 is a great site on the water with good access. Site is a little unlevel but nothing horrible. Our 37ft pull behind had no issues maneuvering into the site.

My husband and I routinely camp at Winfield. We find it very family oriented and well maintained. The park attendants Nanette and Tonya are always so helpful and strive to make your stay a positive experience. Have been coming here many years and always enjoy being greeted by them. The sites are clean when we arrive. We noticed a nail raising from a step down to the water when we were leaving on the boat. We reported it to Tonya and it was taken care of when we returned. Winfield is an excellent campground choice for families.

It was an amazing vacation! The host were great an Annette was a great help to us , I hope she remains there . We had rules to abide by , but she was never rude or overly aggressive, she was always kind an amazing person

I love it here. It was my first time and I will be back soon. I was right on the water and the view was breathtakingly beautiful. Everyone working here was so nice. This place is everything anyone who loves to camp could want.

Great campground. Wonderful people that run the place. Sites are so clean when we arrive. The comfort restrooms are clean & supplies are there. So quiet. We return each year because of the great people that keep it going there without a problem. And if you do have a problem they are there to help if they can. A+++

The two ladies running the park are excellent. They keep the facilities clean and there is soap in the restroom.

Excellent shade on my campsite. I also had very good cell service. My only complaint was zero local tv channels.
@MichelleK34912 · Camped on Jun 10, 2024 at Campsite #73
My only complaint about the camp ground is the access to waiter from campsites. I am disabled ( lung disease) and i cant walk up and down the hills to get to the water to fish or go sit by the water with the kids for safety reasons.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
