Always a nice quiet campground

Very nice campground! Our site was right next to the water. My only real issue was the bathroom/showers needs a better handicapped facility. My son is handicapped and had a few issues but other than that, we had an amazing stay here

My Sites was not on the water, but it still had a great view. The campground is very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice small campground. Beware hose at dump station lacks threads so no black tank flush.

Love how the entire area is a no wake zone, usually quiet

Our site is by the water and has a direct path to access the lake. People are very friendly, my next door neighbor offered us a fan seeing us putting up a tent. We are actually car camping in our Tesla and the tent is for storage purpose only. I deduct two stars because the site is not very clean and the showers have longlines. Only one bathroom in the campground and one available shower stall for women. Its a great spot for boating.

Campground needs a lot of maintenance. Its gone downhill greatly since they shut it down a couple years ago and some sites should be modified to lesser than they used to be and new photos taken so you know what sites youre getting

This campground was hilly, but our site was level and right on the water! It was a beautiful and peaceful stay.

The bathrooms need more attention. The shower walls in the Mens side had mold on them. There are no hooks for hanging anything and no shelf either, and the floor is very dirty from use. There should be a mat to keep muddy shoes from getting the floors so dirty that getting out of the shower and keeping your feet clean is impossible. My wife said that the light was out in one shower stalls and she had to shower in the dark because the other was in use and the shower walls were slimy there too. We were on a campsite by the water and had to be very careful not to trip on the uneven ground. Lots of dips and holes hidden in the uncut weeds. One big hole just off the pavement next to extra parking area that caused a fall and I stepped in a hole that could have caused an injury. Certainly would think that before a HOLIDAY weekend the grass would be cut and showers cleaned up. We picked up gobs of goose poop also and I know that is something that comes with the territory unfortunately. This campground has been closed for a couple of years and now could use some close attention to details.

The bathrooms were clean throughout the WE. Disappointed to learn that the Tent only sites had no water available. The water at the pump out station was broke so I had to stop by a campsite to fill up my jugs. There was significant poison ivy and long weeds around my campsite and that of my friends. Disappointed it was not trimmed better. Great to be back at Payne. Front gate people were friendly.

Payne Campground is convenient to major interstates that lead to Atlanta or North Georgia mountains. Many sites are waterfront with an excellent boat dock. The hosts were very nice, friendly, and helpful when neighbors became too noisy after hours. The sites could use some maintenance as this campground had been closed for a couple of years.

My favorite campground on Allatoona, glad it's back open, have 4 more weeks reserved, wish I could get more being retired.

The couple in the check in hut were amazing and super nice. Campground was clean, comfortable and very functional. Exactly what we needed for a quick over night stay while passing through.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
