W.p. Franklin N Campground in Lee county is located just 25 min northwest of Lehigh Acres, FL with an elevation of 11 feet. There are a total of 39 campsites including 8 boat sites. The campground is open all year. 29 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 35 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 37 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $30.00 to $35.00.

First time camping here. Sites are set up nice. Water and electric, dump station near exit. Made reservations again here for end of October.

1st time here, sites are very clean and easy to back into. Bathrooms are Exceptionally Clean, Camp Host very friendly & helpful.Several local restaurants nearby like the Boathouse on the Caloosahatchee River. Great place to watch the boats go up and down the river, good fishing at the Lock for Snook & Tarpon. We already booked our 2nd visit this September!

I have been camping at wp franklin for years. Always loved #10 site. But now you can hardly see the river because of the mangroves planted on shoreline. Very disappointed. Can those atleast be trimmed to see more of the beautiful view

Extremely well designed, built and kept. Unique setting was very enjoyable. Camp hosts were VERY friendly and helpful, as were the volunteers who helped. Id go again in a heartbeat!

Enjoyed our stay, very peaceful setting for relaxing. only thing that could be better is most of the showers do not have shelves or handrails for safety. Being in my eighties this was a little concerning as I neeed to hold on to a rail when bending over. on a more positive note all the park employees were vary friendly and helpful.

Very nice sites, peaceful, clean bathrooms. Just wish it had doggie waste station or at least garbage cans to throw out waste without having to go all the way to the dumpster.

W P Franklin locks is always an excellent campground. However it is starting to show its age. It appears the government has cut back maintenance funds. A lot of the Picknic tables are rusted and the wood is rotting. The bathrooms are in need of repair. Some toilets do not work properly. Otherwise the staff is always great. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our time @ W P Franklin. We stayed there 3 nights and the campground was very clean and well maintained. The staff we met were helpful and very nice and the bathrooms were very clean. It 's awesome to have almost all waterfront sites at this campground. It is near enough to many activities and Fort Myers.We would stay again

Beautiful setting. Watched boats going through lock and met lots of mic, interesting people. Watched female manatee nursing here calf. Only negative was extreme heat.

Another great stay. The staff was friendly and courteous. The west side rest rooms were clean and new shower curtains installed during our stay. The hurricane damaged roof was replaced with metal roof and overall the grounds looked great. The boat ramp was clear of growth and had a lot of business. Can't go wrong with this location !!!

The campground hosts were awesome. Park and restrooms were clean and tidy. Met many very nice people during my stay. I go to ortona south often the campsites here are closer together, but you know campers are always very respectful of each other. Great place

My wife and I love the place and only wish we could stay longer. It's close to everything in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Pine Island and Sanabel. It is also very quiet and is right next to the river.
