Mike, the camp host is a wonderful man. He checked every night to make sure things were in order. No one had left their campfire burning unattended, etc. The restrooms were always clean. The lake is beautiful. The camp sites are spread far enough apart that you feel secluded. Its a lovely campground. We highly recommend it.

We were at site 3. We have a 37' trailer and that was a bit of a challenge due to the trees and the curve. Not very level but we were prepared. Little walk to the shore. Fun fishing. Beautiful weather with afternoon showers. Cows woke us up one morning but weren't walking through the campsites. A beautiful doe came to visit each day.Truck got hot climbing those last 4 miles to the campground. Breaks got hot on the way down. Take your time, watch your gauges and you will have a lovely location to relax out of the heat of the Summer. (It was 106 when we got back home and we wished we were still on the mountain!)

I am sad to say that the camp host needs to retire or fired ~ we had 7 sites with r party a week ago ~ ever fire pit and cooking pit was filled with burnt wood ~ we also complained that the pit pots (toilets) needed to be emptied he stated that he would call ~ hell the poop was to the top of the tank ~ how did he not know that ~ as the 4 days passed I realized he does nothing other than drive around in the cart ~ add toilet paper and drive down to the lake to chat with the locals or visitors ~ this place was a shit show at best ~ I complained to the two rangers as they drove through but they stayed that it is up to you & ur company to do something ~ please do something like not renewing his contract ~ bring an inspector in ~ fire him ~ in the past 10 years I have watched this location slipping into one of the worst places to camp & all because of this host

The camp host does nothing but replenish toilet paper. The bathrooms need to be cleaned daily and pumped and dumped. Poop on the toilet, mud , I hope, on the floor. Fire pits full of ash. We have been camping at this location for about ten years and since this guy has been host, its gotten worse. I wish I would have taken time in the past 4 yrs to complain. I hoped it would get betterHis excuse is that he is 76 and wont wear his hearing aids. Well we have had enough! I have pictures too!

I want to start by saying we HAVE NEVER had an issue at Ken't Lake until this year. We love this campground. I reserved our favorite site, 23, as soon as it became available on the recreation.gov website months ago. When we arrived at the campground on Friday, June 14th, there was a family at our site (this was after 2:00 PM). We pulled over and asked if they were leaving soon. They informed us that they were not leaving until the following day. I let them know that the site was reserved, had been for months, and that we needed it. This is when they told us that the site was a 'First come, First serve' and that our reservation did not matter. This is when we went to talk to the camp host. Long story short, he had our name, the site we reserved and the dates on his list but stated the other family would not be asked to move and that we would have to pick another site. The host prioritized the family that did not reserve instead of us, the ones that had reservations for months. The host said the owner changed which sites could be reserved, and ours (#23) was one of them. The website never let me know this, so we went thinking our site was reserved. Needless to say, we were not happy and told the host to have the family gone by mid-morning the next day so our kids could occupy the site for the rest of our reserved days. So, my warning is that if you make a reservation, your site may be occupied when you get there. Thank goodness we had a hotel on Friday evening and didn't need to camp that first night. But if we had, I would have insisted the host GIVE US priority and ask the other family to move sites. My other observation was the bathrooms were not well maintained. The floors would be mopped, but the toilet needed a GOOD cleaning and was not. We used Clorox wipes to clean the seats so we could sit down. Past hosts would hose down and scrub the toilets so that when you opened the lid, you were not looking at everyone else's...you know what I mean.Kent's is GREAT!!

Kents Lake campground was such a great discovery for us. Snow still on the mountain across the lake in late May, quiet, green and cool at night. Quite a difference from the high temperatures in the Zion canyon where we we during the day. Lovely, friendly camp host. It is high up, requires a 4.4 mile drive up a windy dirt road to more than 8000 feet where the air is thin. Don't turn around, thinking you are lost. It is there waiting for you to enjoy and see the sunset at the end of the lake. The whole site was impeccably clean, including the restrooms. We were there only for one night. Nice place to unwind and breath some fresh air.

The camp site was pretty good, sadly ruined by the people in the neighbouring site partying till 3am. There ought to be a quiet time enforced. My kids and I hardly got any sleep so it ruined the next day for all of us.

We had a fantastic time! Weather was perfect, and the fish were biting. We are planning on return real soon! We took our 36 foot 5th wheel trailer the road was a lot better than we expected from reports it was narrow in spots but we made it with no problem. Highly recommend a visit there.

Beautiful place to paddle around with the kids! The camp host was nice, and the bathrooms were the cleanest outdoor bathrooms we’ve ever seen.

I took my 12 year old grandson camping for his birthday this year because that’s all he wanted was to fish and be by a lake so we picked Kents Lake #16 was the spot, and it was perfect. He could get up in the morning walk right down from our campsite to the lake put his gear on and take the kayak out fishing. We had such a great time that his request is every year this is where he wants to go for his birthdays. Such a beautiful spot, and Dave was a great camp host.

I reserved campsite 19, but someone was already there. The host was not there, so we found a nice unreserved site and stayed there. Very nice campsite, well maintained.

The wet winter made for a very green and beautiful setting. We got hailed/snowed on as we set up our site, but it made it that more special. Everything was fresh and clean. We saw lots of wildlife, had great campfires, and enjoyed the company of family. We ventured on to some of the miles and miles of ATV/UTV trails. So much beauty and adventure. The lake was full so there wasn’t “beach” to walk on, but that was okay. Our family, all 13, had a great time unplugging and soaking up our surroundings. Looking forward to next year.

We used the group site #7. There is a small pavilion on the site, equipped with a fireplace. We roasted hot dogs over the fire, and played board games by the fireplace. The setting, overlooking the lake, is beautiful. There was drinkable water and a restroom facility right next to our camp. The wind blew hard while we were there, but, overall, we had a great time.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings! The campground is nice although we struggled a little to get our rigs to fit in the double site #03. We ended up having to go the wrong way on the road when we left. We rented 2 UTV’s from Tucker High Adventure Tours in Beaver. They delivered them to us and we spent the day hitting the roads and trails in the area. So much fun! The campsites are well developed with picnic tables and fire rings. The host is kind and helpful. We will definitely be doing this again- all 8 of our grandchildren agree!

First timer , not to happy with our over all experience. Caught no fish at Kent’s lake, but had good luck with near by lakes . No trash dumpster so we need to travel towards the town of Beaver to dump your trash. Lazy campers just throw their trash where ever. The folks of Beaver are friendly.

It rained everyday but other than that the experience was wonderful. We kayaked, fished, biked, and walked…. We would have hiked were it not for the weather.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
