Our group site, D, was splity into three parts, each with a separate driveway and separated from the others by foliage. In each area, there was room for a handful of tents. This setup is less than ideal for a group, since we had to select one area for communal gathering and spread our tents over all the sites. Either each area should be a separate site for a small group - maybe 4 - 6 tents - or the foliage should be trimmed so that it functions as more of a single, large site.The area was clean, but the tables in each area were so heavy as to be immovable. Again, this is inconvenient: the tables should be able to be moved modest distances within each area. Consider putting them on a 10 foot chain or something.The rest rooms were clean and adequate. In the men's room, we particularly appreciated having more stalls than urinals. This is the right proportion; most facilities have it backwards with more urinals than stalls.There were use trails allowing river access, which was nice.

Sites were very nice, bathrooms were clean, shuttles ran great. Out only disappointment was we were there late July and it was 100+, so we couldn't explore as much as we wanted. But that's our poor planning, not the park. Beautiful scenery, hope to come back and complete The Narrows trail!

We planned a family group camping weekend July 26-29, 2024. Our expectation was that we would all be in one campground. Group Campsite C was actually 3 campgrounds and one was across the little road. We were much more spread out than we hoped to be. We made it work but were disappointed that we couldn't be closer. Most of us were in tents and one family group was in a pulled camper trailer. We did not plan to raft down the river but there was another large group that came to raft multiple days. They set their tents up close to our camping area then complained when the adults in our group were softly talking at night away from our sleeping children. The campsite tables are sturdy and there are plenty of very heavy tables. There is one fire pit per campsite, Group C has 3 campsites. We set 2 canopies over tables to create additional shade but the wind wrecked them. Two of the campsites in Group C had plenty of shade but the one across the road had very little shade. The bathrooms could have been cleaned more regularly. There were flushing toilets. There is a spigot and drinking fountain outside of the bathrooms to rinse feet off. The surroundings were beautiful. The river is a bit muddy but we played in the water. The river bank near the campsite is rocky and sloped but we made it work. The next day we moved to the sandy beach near the boat ramp. It is also sloped but the kids liked digging in the sand. Some people in our group floated down the river a few times, not far. It's not too deep but the water is more swift in the middle of the river. They liked it. We went to the Dinosaur Quarry hiking up to the quarry then taking the shuttle down. The next day we went to the homestead and hiked in the box canyon. The kids liked the house a lot. We let them play in the area. We enjoyed our family time but will probably not go back to this campground.

Great campsite, but this is a Dark Sky park and the campground hosts both had light ropes under their RVs that lit up the entire campground and made stargazing with a telescope less than optimal.

Pretty nice group campground. The pullouts are a bit small, had a little trouble getting our 22 trailer where we wanted it. Really nice beach on the river just past the boat ramp.

Great campsite with more amenities than most. Campsite hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
