I specifically chose this campground for its proximity to the water from the campsite, but when we arrived in late July the reservoir was entirely dried up! The campsite and campgrounds were still very well maintained, quiet, and beautiful, but was definitely not what I expected sans water. We still enjoyed exploring what was essentially a prairie land instead and had a great time, but I definitely recommend researching the Wickiup Reservoir water levels during the season you're visiting so you won't be taken off guard like we were. Would love to return when we could enjoy some water activities in the future.

Getting into the campsite was horrendous! The site is a pull through and the parking spot for the trailer was so uneven with overhanging branches scratched my trailer. I have a 20 ft rig so it wasnt the size of my trailer. The site was primitive so I should not have expected it to be paved. The reservoir was down which put it a couple of miles from our site. I now understand that this reservoir, Wickiup, has fluctuations in level. I will research my future campground selections more throughly.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
