The campground host was great; friendly, helpful. Bring your insect repellent. The campground itself was peaceful and quiet. Nice walk to the spring.

Campground is beautiful and quiet. Host did a great job and was very personable. The view while on the reservoir is unbelievable. Well water is the best.

We were very impressed with Joe, the camp host. His pride in maintaining the campground was very obvious. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and campsites were in better shape thanLast year. Logging of the campground a couple years ago destroyed the sites and they are starting to take shape again.

The park itself is beautiful and wasnt too busy, which gave us more privacy and space than we we wouldve had at most other public campsites. The host was awesome; super welcoming and friendly. We didnt pack the proper pump to blow up our sleeping pad, the host noticed and brought out a manual pump for us which was a lifesaver. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to return sometime in the near future!

Best camp host I've run into, just a genuinely nice guy who always greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. You could tell he truly enjoys being there. Only negative - lots of mosquitos, and this was mid-late August! Beautiful spot.

The host was amazing. We had everything necessary gear-wise. The kids packed the fuel for the camp stove...packed empty fuel cans lol. The host styled us out and gave us one...super nice guy!

Visited 7/21/23 for 2 nights. The camp site was clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were kept stocked and clean. The water was amazing from the pump. Its an old school well pump, so no hose attachment. The camp host, Joe, was super nice and made his rounds in the evening a few times checking in. Very helpful and kind guy!! Theres no cleared shore area for fishing. We threw in at the boat ramp with the kids. I would recommend some sort of boat/kayak to get out on the water! Dont miss the spring that flows clear and cold right adjacent to the well pump, maybe 30 yards off the campsite road. Definitely will do this one again!

Clean and simple campground. Good neighbors and good fishing.

I feel like the bathroom was very clean but it was almost to the top full of stuff. Would have been nice if it were pumped. Another thing, I'm 6'1 and i found the picnic tables to be VERY SHORT. I was unable to sit at them. This seemed to be the verdict for all the other campsites that my family was staying at. Perhaps you could lift them out of the dirt and place them in a new location on each site so people are able to use them comfortably. thanks

We had a great campsite. Lots of room. Had the river right by our spot. Weather was great. Fishing not so good but we had a wonderful time and will be back soon.

We had a great time. Our campsite was very big and private. Could see the river from our firepit. Kayaking was wonderful.

I’ve been coming to this wonderful campground for 47 years. It’s one of my favorite places in the world and I never miss a year. This year I returned to dozens, maybe hundreds, of wonderful mature trees cut down. The trees provided much needed shady and tranquility. Not there are just stumps and huge tree carcasses strewn everywhere. Whoever did this didn’t care at all. I am saddened and extremely disappointed. Some of the campsites are completely destroyed. Looks like a skid or backhoe was used to dig up ground…in the middle of sites. Whoever authorized this should be ashamed. You need only give a shout out to people who loved this place and we’d like volunteer in droves to clean it up. It’ll take decades to get the trees back. Seriously, what the hell happened? There’s maybe a handful of viable campsites. I have pictures of the destruction. Please explain and try to fix. I spoke with several other campers that were similarly dismayed and disgusted. Very, very sad.

The host, Joe, did a terrific job. Not so with the logging contractor that desiccated this beautiful campground. A great deal of shade was disappeared for the summer time campers. I could not belief it. Plus, the clean-up was horrid. I hope the Forest Service will never use this outfit!!

We went in late August, so mosquitoes were hungry. Camp host came to our site and told us about the spring here that fed Crane Prairie. Natural spring was boiling out of the ground! Beautiful to see. Quiet place to camp, plenty of room between sites, but campground was not full. All said we would go back after mosquitoes died off. :)

This was the worst campground I’ve ever been to! Absolutely horrible
@CarolArn275228 · Camped on Jul 17, 2022 at Campsite #35
We were aware that trees had been removed due to hazard issues. It seemed that there was still a lot of clean up that needed done. Many piles of dead tree chunks and in our site 35 there was an entire top of a tree loaded with dead needles and real fire danger. We will again be camping in August and September in other sites but still in loop 2. We understand that further clean up cannot be done in summer but are hopeful that it's being scheduled for fall and the wet season.

No trees. Campground is run down and doesn’t seem to be taken care of. We just ate our 3 night reservation and went to another campground.
@AndyO6155672 · Camped on Jul 12, 2022 at Campsite #32
No trees, lots of dead brush on the ground, facilities not taken care of. We stayed at lava lake instead

The Forest Service should be ashamed of what they have done to the campground to supposedly make it safer for campers with the their tree elimination program. YOU WILL NOT ENJOY THE CAMPGROUND! The FS removed good timber and left many hazardous trees still standing, what safety issue (ask for pictures) to see what they left. If that wasn't bad enough they left many campsites totally destroyed with the damage from the heavy equipment. Ruts so big in the campsites and so deep they are a trip hazard, dust and dirt everywhere, my picnic table was so sloped I could not use it! The FS did not level the damage from the equipment, they did not replace gravel, nor did they fix the camp tables. What they left was a hazardous, dirty, dusty pit to camp in. The Forest Service should issue refunds to all those who have stayed this year, close the campground again, and focus on cleaning up and renewing the campsites for folks to enjoy once again! Shame on you Forest Service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to Quinn River campground every year for more than 20 years. This year after the so-called clearing of dangerous tree's the campground was unrecognizable all the nice large straight shade pines had been logged off and the ground around the camp area was all tore up and uneven with track marks and trails left by the logging equipment. There were lots of felled trees and brush piles left behind that are fuel for forest fires. Supposedly the area was to have dangerous trees removed for the protection of the campers. In my opinion the campground was logged for profit not safety and ruined for many generations and left more unsafe and prone to forest fire than if it had been left alone. It is sad that such a beautiful and special place had to be disfigured for no reason.

It would be really nice if the reservation site would update the map? the few sites shown does not represent how many are there, and location. Great place to go. check your sites before you take a bigger (30ft) trailer. It was a little tough to get into our site. We did map out sites for next trip.

We have been twice to camp and paddle. A great simple campground with big sites and easy paddle craft launching and landing.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
