Sites are nearly on top of each other, very little vegetation, no privacy whatsoever. On one side of our tent-only campsite, another tent's occupant snored loudly from 6:30pm until 5:30am, and on the other side, a camper van's alarm went off at 3am, amid much slamming of sliding van doors. The only potable water was at the dishwashing station, and it was warm and off-tasting. No other amenities.

Watch out for sand/dust storms! Our tent got full of dust and was so gross. Dont leave your pillow unattended!

it was pretty good. the camps had all necessary facilities: clean toilets, appropriate lightings, water supplies and trash disposal. This was our first camping experience and we loved it.

I liked it, the only thing is that the privacy might be an issue here, the lots are located very close to each other, other than that I really liked the place!

Peaceful and clean.

Wow just wow. I had my doubts coming here as I was tired of desert camping and with the golf course next door, but my mind was blown with how secluded it felt from the modern things. Loved everything about this place including the sites, visitor center, amenities such as warm running water, and the staff. Sooo much to do in this arid place that I didn't get enough of it. Definitely going back soon!

I love Furnace Creek, it was my 5th time visiting. The only downside was some public drunkenness at the campsite one night that went on past 3:00 AM. The campgrounds needs to enforce the quiet hours more forcefully. Seriously, these dudes shouldve been kicked out. Otherwise we had a perfectly wonderful stay.

Great location to dump off your trailer allowing exploring the park each day.

Wonderful experience. Our site was compact but had plenty of shade. Early November was an ideal time to visit temperatures were moderate and the lower sun angle highlighted the beautiful colors of the park. Additionally there were no crowds!

There's access to some amazing places to experience from Furnace Creek. It puts you right in the center of a lot of beauty. The campground is clean, organized, with access to water, bathrooms, and dish areas. You are camping on a valley floor of a desert area so the ground is hard and dusty and trees are limited. As long as you are prepared for those conditions - it's great!

Clean, quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful scenery around the campground. Very central location for getting around the vast park. Affordable and nice to be able to reserve as we got there around 1:30 am and knew we had somewhere to land. Surprisingly quiet for how busy it was. While of course I wish there were showers, the bathrooms were clean and convenient. Would stay there again the next time we go to Death Valley NP.

Camping calme et trs bien situ.

Great trip. Some RVs had bright lights and generators running (one was also watching a movie loudly late at night, which we could hear from our tent). Not too bad, but it did intrude on the quietness and dark night sky a little bit.

Potable water close to camp sites, very clean bathrooms. We stayed one night, no complaints.

I don't know why I waited so long to visit Death Valley. Furnace Creek was more than I expected, nice clean and flat sites, nice visitor center directly next door and even dinning and a golf course just beyond that.
@JohnP1604489 · Camped on Oct 21, 2024 at Campsite #75
Enjoyed our stay in Death Valley. The campsite was clean and well maintained. Central to all activities and sight seeing adventures. Right next door to the Ranch in Death Valley, which offers restaurants, general store, pool. For $14./ day you can use the hotels pool and it is lovely. There is also a jeep rental and tour guide that had well maintained and clean vehicles at a reasonable price.I cant begin to say enough about the scenery. All the places in the parks magazine are well worth visiting

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
