No Fuss , just the way I like it. Bathroom was so much cleaner than those in the parks. I was surprised and would absolutely go back.

Ruby and Jack went out of their way to make our stay effortless and enjoyable. Can't say enough about their kindness. The place was kept immaculate.

Site 16 was right on the water, big spot, and had lots of space - hands down one of the best sites in the campground! This campground and lake is a hidden gem and are so happy we spent a week here. The mosquitos were really bad and it was unbearable to be outside after 6:30/7pm, so make sure you bring bug spray!

So lovely to be right on the lake and a convenient distance from paved roads while still feeling secluded.

The camp hosts were awesome. They let us exchange site 25 for an open spot next to the lake. Site 25 has very little shade and is right next to toe boat trailer parking lot. Mosquitos and horse flys were bad so bring repellent. The lake and weather were fantastic.

Cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen! The campground was clean and quiet. However, the mosquitos and biting flies were absurd. Our family went through one can of OFF our first night. Not even campfire smoke could keep them away. We paddle boarded on the lake to watch the sunset, and my son's back looked like he had chicken pox the next day. We camp frequently and know insects are part of being outdoors, but the infestation we encountered at Lonesomehurst will ensure we never go back!

Really nice campground overlooking the lake. Was glad there was wood to purchase for our fire (bring $10 cash for a bundle). Bathrooms were clean. Only complaint is that the mosquitos were horrendous! We were literally swarmed right when we stepped out of our car. We went back into town for bug spray, otherwise it would have been intolerable.

This is a nice, small campground and the sites are spacious. Beautiful lake! Easy drive to Yellowstone as well. The only downside was the mosquitoes which made it difficult to be outside at dusk.The hosts were great!

Beautiful camp site! the views were fantastic! Water and toilets were close and the Yellowstone entrance was only 15 minutes away. Only downside was the mosquitos. No fault of the campground, just the natural consequence of being on a lakeshore.

What a gorgeous campground! Easy access to the lake and comfortable place to stay.

This small campground at the lake is nice. However the entrance is a bit messy. We could only book spot 2 which is not recommended! Luckily there was another spot available and after speaking with the friendly host we could swap and had a nice stay!

I camp at Lonesome Hurst every year. Thank you so much for laying down a great gravel base to campground road. The obvious affect is the reduction of dust by 99% and wear and tear on RV.

Nice small campground. Vault bathrooms clean and accessible. Water a little scarce and we were glad we added electric. A little ways from town but overall a nice spot on the lake and about 10 easy miles to Yellowstone entrance.

This site had great views of the lake, and it was easily accessible. My biggest complaint is the sites felt too close together. They were mostly RVs, and we were tent camping. Hearing the generator right next to us until 1030 pm wasnt great.

Very quiet. We had power - that was a plus. Its an easy drive into Yellowstone

We had site 10 and loved it! We were sleeping in the back of our truck and had paddle boards, so being on the water was perfect. Plenty of room. Super quiet too. Will be back!

Nice and quiet, but lots of mosquitoes. Lake is very cold.

Great layout and great CG hosts. Mosquitos were unbelievably bad - not a ding on the CG. It was a very wet year. Bring appropriate mosquito repellant / clothing to enjoy outside. Definitely would come back.

Nice place, close to a lake ! Clean toilet. Too bad to don't have shower but you can have a shower in town in the laundry. :) Close to YellowStone Park, we also went to see a rodeo show close to the place. The owner of the place are super nice, you have free wood for a barbecue and the bear boxes were clean. Thanks :)

Mosquitos were atrocious but the spot was stunning. Had our own little beach IN our campsite and was able to just paddle board the entire time. AND had service. 10/10 recommend.

We stayed at Lonesomehurst for two nights at the start of July. The campground is in a beautiful location right on the lake, however be aware that this lake is predominately used by motorised boats which can be loud. The overall campground is very well maintained, the bathrooms are in excellent condition and the camp hosts are lovely. This is an RV forward campsite but there were a few tents when we were there. We stayed in site 20 which I would not recommend as it is directly adjacent to the toilets. It is positioned in the inner loop and has direct eyeline to the toilets with no privacy. Luckily the toilets did not smell at all due to the good management. We were rooftop tent camping and made the most of the site by using the electric plugin to create ambiance. The sites across the way have a great view of the lake. Site 19 is stunning if you can book it, it’s got a great view and has good privacy. We were able to have breakfast there one morning as the occupants checked out early. All in all, great campground if you can get a lake spot. Generators can be loud at times but the policy is that they have to be turned off by 10pm. Most people didn’t use generators but there was one who had his on all day. Great vicinity to west Yellowstone for people who want to explore the park during the day and come back to the campsite in the evening.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
