New Britain, located in central Connecticut, offers several camping options in the surrounding area. Burlington Campground, located to the west, offers a peaceful setting with wooded campsites, hiking, and fishing opportunities. Sleeping Giant State Park, located to the south, offers campsites with access to hiking trails and scenic views of the surrounding area. Lake Waramaug State Park, located to the northwest, provides lakeside camping with opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing. Gillette Castle State Park, located to the southeast, offers camping in a historic setting with hiking trails and views of the Connecticut River. Mansfield Hollow State Park, located further to the east, provides remote camping with scenic views, hiking, and fishing.

Alosa Campsites Campground in Northampton County is located 38 min east of East Stroudsburg, PA with an elevation of 327 feet. There are a total of 6 campsites which are all tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid April to mid November. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $16.00 per night. Some amenities include swimming. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Barnes Field Campground is located in the Androscoggin Ranger District, White Mountain National Forest (1 hr 38 min west of Lewiston, ME) with an elevation of 1,286 feet. There are a total of 11 campsites including 4 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 7 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $45.00 per night. Activities include hiking trails.
