Great place to stay. Hosts very nice and helpful. Clean bath houses, great trails. It was a fun trip and we will be back. Especially now that we know the gates are open 24 hours. I can go to work while we are camping and that gives up more opportunities to camp!

We had a wonderful time camping in the heart of nature. Our site was fairly level and well-maintained with a finely crushed gravel surface. There was a large firepit and a huge picnic table. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice if there was water at the sites, but we knew there wouldn't be any when we made our reservation and planned for it. The bathhouse was clean but full of crawling caterpillars. There was an electric hand dryer, but I really wish there was soap by the sink. There was a large group camping in multiple sites near our site. I appreciated that they were quiet even though they had quite a few kids. A very enjoyable trip.

We love to camp at Rock Creek Park. The campsites are very spacious and you have privacy. Its an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place. We recommend it to anyone who loves to get out and enjoy nature.

The shower houses were nasty. I have camped there for several years and it has never looked so bad before. I hardly ever saw the host and things have not been kept up

The group site is very nice. They have vault toilets near and access to showers. Would recommend to Scout Troops.

Rock Creek is a beautiful campground with an excellent location close to Erwin and not too far to Johnson City. The sites are spacious for the most part and the trail leading to the falls is great. That said, the caretaking of the bathhouse and grounds was far below par. Especially the men's facilities, they were filthy. We came into our site to find the firepit with several pieces of trash, including cans. There were multiple holes dug around the site, apparently by a dog, and the table bench was covered with sand. It's a shame that the camp hosts don't do the job they were hired for. I feel really sad to give this poor review to what could be a lovely park.

We camped here in our 15' teardrop camper. This campground seems like one that is bypassed by most people. It is a nice campground, great hosts that stopped & introduced themselves. The facilities were clean, however the mens shower closest to us was out of order & was being worked on by a plunber the 3 days we were there. I think they completed the repairs the day we left. I did the 2 mile hike to the falls. Well worth the elavation gain to go to the upper falls. If it had been a warmer day I would have sat in the water below the fall & cooled off. Maybe next time.

I have been camping @ Rock Creek Park for over 48 years. Our Mom and Dad brought us here growing up, my two sons grew up camping here and now I'm almost 60 and my husband and I have began camping here with our furbabies.

One of the most beautiful campsites ever! My camp host truly loves his job and takes pride in providing a great service to visitors. Plenty to do around this location!

Large sites spaced far apart with power. Water is available at stations around the three loops A, B, and C. There is a manmade swimming area fed by mother nature from ever flowing creek running down from the mountains. TV signal is only for the 4 PBS stations, bring your own CD's. Each loop has a restroom as well as swimming area. If you like hiking, you'll love it here. Trails in excellent shape and different lengths. One even has a waterfall. The price you can not beat - $20.00.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend. We wish we stayed longer. Firstly, the camp ground host was very helpful and welcoming. Soon after we arrived he came over and greeted us with information. He even kindly gave us some firewood him and his kids had split. It was very appreciated. Secondly, the campground is clean and quiet. Not to mention absolutely beautiful. There is a stunning fresh water creek that runs next to the campground. We stayed at campsite 23 loop C. The post to our campground had a tag attached which indicated our name & booking reference. This was very helpful. The site was large with a picnic table and fire ring. It was private and clean. On this particular site we had to reverse our RV up a slight incline, so just be mindful of that if you are low at the rear end as you could scrape the concrete. There are other sites with no incline. The campground includes large bins to dispose of your trash, waste disposal site and clean water. Very easy to access as well. Lastly, we did the 2 mile hike to the water fall. I would say half the track is quite flat and the next half becomes rather steep. The path is quite rocky so good shoes are necessary. There are 4 creeks to cross which arent difficult to rock hop. Great spot, great scenery and great host. Thanks for having us!

Very nice campground with a dump station and potable water fill. A little tight getting through the trees in a few areas if you are in a big rig. Campground hosts were excellent and kept the sites clean.

Really nice, quiet place to camp we enjoy camping here. Only drawback for me is the low to non-existent wifi. The spots higher in the campground have a little better service but not great. I wish they could upgrade this. We will stay here again but in a higher camping spot.

This is a very well maintained campground with spaces affording a good deal of separation and privacy and wilderness surrounding. No outside noise. Bathrooms exceptionally well kept and in working order. Great hikes straight from the campground plus easy access to the Appalachian Trail. I really enjoyed my time there.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
