Beautiful setting. Small but great short hiking trail out onto the peninsula. Camp Hosts very friendly and bathrooms very clean and well maintained. Dogs barking at all hours were the only issue we experienced.

The experience was good, campground was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were clean. Boot lake is a nice lake with clear clean water, a nice place to swim. I did find the use of portable generators to be excessive with the campers near me running the entire day until quiet time began. They did not run at night. I think some restrictions on generators would be nice.

Love going to Boot Lake with the family as it is a yearly trip there.

Really nice place. Bathrooms were really clean. The beach was nice. The camp sites all had a nice fire pit with a grate and picnic table. They are not super private sites, but that’s about standard.

Love Boot Lake! Please fix the main pump :)

Clear lake with sandy bottom allows you to access water lakeside campsites easily, for either swimming or kayaking -in our case. We saw lots of bass and panfish. Quiet lake during the week.

Enjoyed the wildlife in the campsite area.

Great lake for kayaking. Campground not crowded. Beautiful experience all around. IF you can get by without any hookups. We have solar and got by fine the guy next to us had a generator and ran it too often - that part was annoying.

The campground was very nice, but many loud generators running early in the morning and evening.

Availability of fresh water was limited to the hand pump by the beach. Not convenient to camp sites. Found it easier - with better quality of water - to go to the Bass Lake beach.

Love Boot Lake - so peaceful. Nice large sites which are currently being renovated. Great little lake to kayak.

When we booked our reservation online, there was no mention that Boot Lake was under construction. We arrived to large machinery clearing out trees in campground sites, the road was torn up, some campsites had fire pits, picnic tables pushed aside. Our reserved site had fresh dirt poured but not rolled. It would have been a mess, so we found a different site that was available for use. Unfortunately, we paid for two sites - Site 11 which we reserved online and Site 15 which we paid for on site. We love Boot Lake, but were really disappointed we weren't informed about the construction. Machinery started up at 8 am each day and worked until about 4 pm. Not a quiet camping experience, except for the evenings.

Everything was wonderful, except the constant construction ALL FOUR DAYS! The next group of campers will have a wonderful time with the new campsites once the construction is complete.

We love boot lake campground. It is being renovated and should be even better when it is finished. A quiet place to enjoy nature, kayak, fish and sit on the beach.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
