Beautiful place. Clean bathrooms. Because my age in the terrain, it was a little challenging if you walk off the pavement.

Campsite was great. Beautiful views. We thought the height of the fire ring was ridiculously high and counterproductive to camp fire activities. Bath house was beautifully constructed and functionally great. Thanks to the camp hosts who kept things in order. We really enjoyed our tent camping experience. Thanks.

Always love staying here. Spot 5 has a great view and is very spacious. Bathhouse is always clean. Take a light with you though just in case that lights go out while showering.

Upon arrival we were met by a camp host checking us in. He was very friendly and polite. We had issues with our slide and called a RV Mobile tech to come fix it. About an hour later a second host came by and told us we had to move the Third vehicle off our site, we explained it was a repair man. 30 minutes later the first host came by and told us the same thing, explained a second time. Dont these hosts communicate with each other? This isnt a large park! On the second day, my husband backed directly across from (no one was on the site) us to let my daughter out, the host came by and insisted that he go all the way around the park and back into our spot because it was one way road. REALLY ACROSS FROM ONE GRAVEL SPOT TO ANOTHER!! Husband ignored and came back across! We felt that these hosts were on a power trip, we camp almost every weekend and follow the rules but REALLY???!! Spot was hard to back in, it was fairly flat. Bathhouse was clean.

Great week at Morganton Point. Nice quiet campsite (26). Short stroll to the lake. Excellent campsite host. Clean bathroom. Great place to camp when visiting area apple houses and vineyards. Delicious barbecue nearby - Mike's Trackside Bar-B-Q.

Morganton Point Campground is a medium sized, wooded campground on a lake in North GA. It is a beautiful location, centralized to everything you want to do near Blue Ridge, Ellijay, and many wonderful places for hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and shopping. The campground has some hills, but all sites are fairly level and private. There are few narrow hilly roads getting to it, scenic. The bathhouse is nice! It looks like new tile. The shower is powerful (good pressure) and warm, but you have to push the button and it lasts approximately 15 seconds at a time to conserve water. It wasn't bad at all. Reserve a spot online and drive straight to your spot and the host will drive around on his golf cart and greet you and sign you in. There is firewood and ice for sale at the campground. All other supplies should be purchased prior to arrival. There is a store about a mile away for snacks, drinks, lighters, gas, etc. We had a large site with a view of the water and a trail leading down to the lake. You will be able to see beautiful sunsets over the mountains from the beach. Our dog loved it there. We love Morganton Point Campground and will definitely return.

We enjoy Morganton Point very much. The staff are extra nice and assist in any way possible to make our stay pleasant. One issue that I would like to see addressed is the bath/shower on the tent camping side. The main restroom is extra, extra clean and is maintained very well. The other one needs attention! We will be back!

Restrooms were clean, showers were hot, but LOTS of children made it pretty noisy. Water leak at water receptacle required us to keep water turned off except when we were needing water. Our neighbor's water source leaked also, as did several others in the park. Management said they were waiting for a plumber to come, but seemed like these have been leaking for a while. Swimming beach was nice, but muddy at the shoreline. Part of swimming area was posted swimming only, no boats, but a large pontoon boat was parked right at the sign, keeping swimmers from using that area. No one ever came by to tell them to move it, so that just made the swimming area quite congested. The no boat parking should have been enforced, especially on a weekend when there were more visitors. Firewood is $7 for a small bag that will last about 7 minutes, and you are not allowed to bring in your own firewood. Firepits only, no regular bbq grills. Can't say I would go here again.

R. D. is a great host! Our site was peaceful with lots of shade, a short trail to the lake, and beautiful views of the lake and sunsets with the mountains in the distance. Clean sites and showers/restrooms. Thanks for an enjoyable 4 days!

Loved our experience except for the big tree branch falling with a thud on our roof. No damage at all and the camp worker lent us a ladder so we could gat it off the roof. Just something to be aware of when booking a treed site. We picked site 18 as it was close to the showers and restrooms which were very clean. Be aware that the lights in the restrooms are on timers which is a problem especially at night when they go off in the middle of your shower. Bring a flashlight. Would have liked to go swimming but the path down to the beach was way too steep and rocky for our 70 + legs. lol. Well be back!

we have camped at Morganton Point literally for fifty years, and this is probably the first time we have seen it seeming to be neglected. Weed eating really needed doing all over. I am not sure if the undergrowth is ever cleared up any, but it was hard to see the lake or sky even form site five or seven, which are usually where the view is great. I am not sure why this year was different. Roads also needed stuff blown off. Did not use restroom, so am not sure about how well kept or not those were. several barking dogs were also somewhat annoying. Not sure what should have been done about those, but it seemed the owners were leaving them unattended for fairly long stretches of time.

Morganton is a very good place to stay, with showers, electricity, and water at the campsite. The lake is beautiful, but the beach is full of rocks, making it difficult to walk to the water. Its very close to Blue Ridge town, which has nice supermarkets less than 12 minutes away.The bathroom in the beach area was not available; they have some portable ones.Ill definitely come back to this place.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
