Great campground and wonderful hosts Roger and Gwen. Be aware that some of the campsites are rather small, but all are beautifully nestled into the trees and many have the creek running alongside. Hiking is wonderful.

Very nice, well maintained campground. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful and keep the bathrooms spotless and odor free. There is access to a great hike up the canyon and the creek is beautiful.

Always love to stay at Columbine. Plenty of shade trees, the river running through the camp, cool, quiet, and the spots are spread out enough you are still in relative seclusion. The columbine trailhead being in the back of the camp is an added bonus. Don't have to drive anywhere to get in a good hike. Facilities and toilets are clean, and they have potable water. Definitely one of my family's favorite locations to camp.

Very nice campground right at the base of the Columbine Canyon trail that leads up into the wilderness area. The 2024 hosts, Roger and Gwen, are great! - very friendly and helpful. Vault toilet was uber-clean. The creek runs right down through the middle of the campground providing beautiful sound, and it also helps to mask any noise from other campers. There were lots of dogs, but it was very quiet and they were leashed in the campground. We hiked right from the campground with our dogs and loved it. We went in early June and the daytime temps were in the low 70's and it got very nice and cool at night, which, along the the creek sounds were great for sleeping! Would love to go back!

We absolutely love it here! We come 2 to 3 times every year. They keep this Campground very clean. The hosts Roger and Gwen are awesome!! The best hosts we've ever dealt with and we've been coming here for over 30 years. They are so friendly and helpful. Great hiking trails. Red River is only 10 minutes away. There's a grocery store, a park and restaurants there. Beautiful place!

The campground is incredibly beautiful. Lots of trees, a stream running right through, and the sites well well-spaced. In addition, the hosts were the most friendly and professional we have ever experienced.

The location is fabulous. It's nice to be close to a town.The drawback was the campground hosts driving around in a noisy golf cart along with all the campers that had generators running.The noise is a huge turn off for me. If that isn't a bother - this is a perfect campsite.

Camp was clean and quiet. Hosts were very attentive to the needs of the camp. Overall, a grat experience.

Reserved site #12, but it was extremely unlevel and had both a tree and a rock which were in the way of slide outs. Had to move to another site the next day.

Our 5th time camping here. The grounds are beautiful with the running creek and river. We hiked to the ridge and stared into Taos Ski Vslley passing meadows great for resting or backpacking. We will be back

Beautiful campground. Great camp hosts! Getting into the site can be a challenge as the road is narrow, but worth it!

First time camping at this campground. It is very quiet and well kept with a few sites right on the river. The camp hosts are great, very friendly and attentive. Will come back for sure! Cell service is spotty for AT&T and non-existent for Google Fi.
@AlisonB0EA9702 · Camped on Jun 11, 2023 at Campsite #18
This spot is so special. I wish I could go more often, but it's too hard to book a spot! :) The hiking is fantastic and I was surprised at how quiet it was, even in June. There is zero cell reception, so that's good to know ahead of time. Red River is good for basics, though the market there (Der Markt) has exorbitant prices. The coffee shop is great (sing a song and get a free beverage!) and the brewery is fun, too.

LOVE this campground and #17 is the best. This was our 4th trip there and won't be our last. Love the hiking trail too.

We love Columbine.

The campground had potable water available and well kept toilet facilities. I was not expecting to have cell phone service (Iphone) but we did, which was great! It was also only 10 minutes to Red River so shopping and other entertainment was close by. Would definitely camp here again.
@JohnK6536193 · Camped on Sep 2, 2022 at Campsite #17
Beautiful campground with a shallow stream running through the middle of the camp. We fell asleep every night to the sound of rushing water, and the kids loved playing in the stream. Excellent in-and-back hiking trails co-located in the park. Camp hosts went well above and beyond to make sure the campground is in excellent condition. Camp hosts enforce reservations, so we were able to camp in our reserved spot after arriving late in the day.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
