Beautiful campsite. Shade and waterfalls made for a cool and relaxing climate. Camp hosts were welcoming. They gave tips and info about interesting natural sights.

Great small campground for smaller trailers( 20-25 ft. ). Green and pretty quiet. Theres a dirtroad right across the creek but you dont really hear it from the sound of the water. Camp hosts are very helpful and keep the area clean.

Gorgeous campground! Nicely spaced lots, so much greenery, and the little creeks are beautiful and fun to wade in. We all loved it. Make sure to pick up your supplies well ahead of the campground--there isn't much close by in terms of stores.

Very secluded location. Restrooms were very clean. The only downside were the bugs in the afternoon and evening.

This is such a beautiful area that means so much to myself and my family. Over the past couple years we have watched the new camp hosts ruin the campground and the experience of campers here. I highly recommend camping outside of the campground just to avoid the camphosts and their power trip. When camping in the campground, expect the hosts to walk through your camp without notice/rummage around your things while you're gone/and threaten to call the cops as soon as they meet you. You can follow all the rules and the hosts will still greet you with a threat of calling the cops if you "choose to act up." The inconvenience of camping outside of the campground is absolutely worth it if it means avoiding these terrible indiviudals that have been put in as camphosts.

The mosquitos were really bad. Without a wood fire it was impossible to be outside our tents. Once we started and kept a fire going, including some greener wood branches to make more smoke, we were able to keep them at bay. Once the fire was out we had to retreat to our tents or car to avoid being carried away by them. We got to the campsite after several days of hard rain, so that is why they were so thick. The out houses were great, smelled not too bad, if you keep the lid down when not in use, and the door to it shut at all times. Scenery up the trail head was wonderful, but you had to keep moving or be eaten alive by mosquitos. We forgot our deet spray, out bad.

I reserved site 5 but set up in site 7 as it was not reserved. I pd on line for site 5 and 7 was the same price. Camp hosts insisted I pay them for site 7 as well. They also insisted on paying for an extra car even tho my Motorhomes was a small van and took up less space than a small trailer. I stated my case but they insisted firmly. So I paid it. Bathrooms were clean and overall a good camping place.

Arrived later than planned so didn't get to truly enjoy the campground. The site was great, right alongside of a creek, and the only downside was the main road was just on the other side of the creek so there was traffic noise. But all things considered, it was very nice.

We have a 30 ft Class C RV and we booked through recreation.gov. The web site indicated that the site was suitable for a 30 ft RV or 30 ft trailer. While the site may have accommodated a 30 ft RV, the approach and maneuvering to park in the site was NOT suitable. Could not back in to our site, or probably any other site. On departure we had to use the turn around at the end of the road. Required dozens of forward and reverse maneuvers to make the turn. Leaving our site and departing the campground took over an hour.

What a beautiful campground! Although small in terms of the number of sites, the sites are spacious and well placed, shady and well maintained. The restrooms are vault toilets, but clean and nice. The hosts John and Tami were extremely friendly and fun to visit with. The proximity to an extensive network of established ATV trails and the Downata water park in Downey made this a nice venue with lots of options for adventures outside of the campground. Definitely two thumbs up for us! Most definitely we would come again.

Clean, shady, very friendly hosts! Such a beautiful site, we were there in June and were surrounded by the prettiest butterflies! Not too buggy otherwise.

The Group site at Malad Summit campground was great. There was lots of shade and the dedicated tent sites made it super easy to set up a couple of the tents we had. There were other places that also made great tent sites. The very long picnic tables were great for eating, crafting and gathering in general. The fire pit and seating were the perfect place to cook s'mores and tinfoil dinners. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. The camp host was friendly and helpful. All of the adults that came up said that this would be a great place to hold a family Reunion. I look forward to coming back.

Spacious group area, lots of shade and close to a water fall and things to do. Perfect group area for a family reunion with all the picnic tables, large fire pit and well kept bathrooms in the camp.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
