What a beautiful campground! The sites have trees/brush between so that each site feels private. And it's so close to Pocatello! We had a large family gathering and the triple site provided enough space for everyone to visit. We are planning to return next year!

Camp hosts were amazing! Campground is well maintained and clean. Love that this little gem is only 30 minutes from Pocatello.

The campground was a triple site #19. We all loved it. We had a moose pass through just outside the campsite. There was plenty of room for everyone to park and we had three large picnic tables and lots of shade. The bathrooms were close are very well kept. In fact, I'd say they were the cleanest of any campground I have visited in several years. The campground hosts were kind and helpful. The only issue I had was the reservation did not say what loop the campsite was in. I found it easy enough, but it would have been more helpful to state the loop in the confirmation email.

I was unclear on the reservation. I thought I had reserved for two nights so we didn't have to rush to pack up and leave. I was mistaken. So check carefully do make sure you are clear on your reservation. Other than that we had a lot of fun and it was beautiful there.

Camp Hosts CheriRae and Jonathan were extremely welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Our only issues were the relentless biting horseflies (just part of camping) and a generator that ran constantly during two days of our stay (an unfortunate disruption of the camping experience). Otherwise, this is a beautiful location with generous campsites, clean and well-maintained outhouses, and many trails to explore.

Camp host kept a very clear campground. It was a wonderful week to spend in nature.

Beautiful campground!

Site was to narrow for my little 26' camper. I had to park up against a retaining wall so my steps would clear the 6X6 retaining timber on the other side. Thank god I didn't have a slide. The roads into the campground are narrow and over grown with brush scrapping the side of the camper. Bathroom floor was dirty and needed swept. I was there tree nights and never saw a camp host.

Always love staying at Scout Mountain. It's a great escape from the heat in lower elevations with great facilities and an outstanding campground host. This campground is becoming an annual visit for me and my pup.

The group site had a great fire pit with plenty of seating. The shade was fantastic during the hot weather and would definitely stay here again!

Sure would have been nice for the FS to call and tellmus that the camp ground would be closed the day after our reservation. Happend to call and ask a question and was told about the closure.

We stayed at campsite 14 and it was nice. There was plenty of shade and very close proximity to a spigot for water and the restrooms. The restrooms were clean and well kept. Overall we had a good time!

Nice campsite, clean and well maintained! New restrooms that were kept very clean! Host’s were friendly and helpful! We usually have a get together every year and are usually able to get the same site we like! Enjoyable time!

Scott was a great camp host. He maintains the campground really well. He is very nice and always says hi as he passes through. Really enjoyed having him as a comp host and look forward to seeing him next year.

The campground is beautiful and was quiet and just secluded enough for us. However, there are some of the same campsite # in different loops, so make sure you go to the correct loop. I think loop A/B/C are the reserved ones.

Nice site, 22 I believe. Shady with plenty of space. Definitely cooler than Pocatello. Toilets are new and very clean. We did not do any hiking, but there trails in the area.
@Elizabeth75091 · Camped on Jul 12, 2022 at Campsite #16
the campground was great. However it was a bit noisy, the host had a loud generator.

We love Scout mountain! The hosts Jim and Laura are great people. We feel safe camping there and will return many more times.

A neighboring camp site was allowed to build and maintain a smoky fire for several hours. Others had fires which were not offensive. Smoke filled our camper and made my grandson cough and have a rough night.

This was the perfect place for our [big] family reunion!! It was a nice escape from the world, but close enough to the Pocatello metro area in case we needed extra supplies. We will definitely be going back here in the future!!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
