Way too noisy. Close to road and sound echoes through the trees. Campsites and bathrooms were very nice.

It's a nice campground very close to the new store in Alpine. It has a lot of shaded sites which kept the RV cool but did make solar charging a challenge. The host Ron did a fine job keeping the vault toilets as clean and smell free as possible.Also another reviewer complained about the host Ron keeping a close eye on the campers and demanding quiet. We were camped the same day and this reviewer was in charge of a bunch of teenage boys who were yelling at the top of their lungs all morning. It was very disturbing since we were trying to concentrate on a project. We're very glad Ron asked them to quiet down.

The site was advertised to be a 50 person group site yet there were not accommodations for that many people and their tents.

A beautiful lake walk right next to the campground!

Great hosts who checked with me immediately and nice quiet/secluded site. Some view of the reservoir.

Apparently the reservation computer system had double-booked my reserved site. The camp hosts quickly found a FF site for me. I ended up with a better site!! Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Alpine North Campground is a delightful resting spot on the shore of Palisades Reservoir just north of the town of Alpine, Wyoming, and is on the border with Idaho. The campground, located at an elevation of 5,640 feet, has 16 single-family campsites and three group sites that can accommodate up to 50 people each. There's drinking water but no electricity or dump station. Individual campsites were spacious and semi-private. The campsites closer to U.S. Highway 26 may have been subject to noise from passing traffic, but we didn't notice any road noise at our site. The camp host, Paula, receives rave reviews from some guests and blistering ones from other visitors. We found her friendly and looked for us to have an enjoyable time. She has painted numerous rocks, leaving ladybug designs outside the restroom buildings and at her campsite. They added to the campground's atmosphere. We had a great time staying for one night before continuing on to the Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch between the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.

We only spent one night at Alpine North, to break up the distance as we drove from Boise to the Headwaters at Flagg Ranch campground. We arrived after dark but were greeted by Paula, the camp host, to welcome us to the campground and see if there was anything we needed.We liked the spacious campsite and found we were far enough away from the highway that we didn't hear any road noise through the night. The next morning, Paula stopped by as we were getting ready to leave. I complimented her on her painted rocks found at her campsite and which she had left outside the vault toilet buildings. They helped liven up the campground.We were dismayed by many online reviews that criticized Paula. She's a stickler for rules and it appears people who don't like her tended to be campers who didn't want to follow the rules. We appreciated her dedication and friendliness. I also liked that she messaged us a couple of days before our reservation to see whether we still planned on coming there. If not, there would have been time to cancel the reservation and let someone else reserve the site.

Very clean, beautiful scenery, too close to the road. Traffic noise was very constant

Great campground with a great host. Plenty of shade. Great double spots if you have a trailer for camping or for rafting the Snake River.

Camp host, Paula, was great. She takes really good care of the camp. Nice location for those traveling near the Tetons, especially if you were floating the snake.

Paula, the camp host, was amazing! We were there with a youth group and she was wonderful, they all respected her because she was clear and firm about the rules, but they loved her because she was fun and friendly and made us all feel welcome and at home. Also best smelling pit toilets Ive ever experienced!

Great smaller campground with a couple of options for groups. We enjoyed it here. Really great campground host. You can buy firewood at the campground. Only issue is it is right of the highway and the trucks rolling through early morning or late at night are loud.

Paula is the best campsite host I have ever met. Campsite is close to highway, but thick trees helped mitigate the noise and sight. Close to the lake but not a great beach. Really good experience.

Campground was well maintained. Campground Manager Paula was amazing - she took really good care of us, was super friendly and helpful, fun with the kids. We'd come back to Alpine just for her!

Paula is by far the best campground host that I've ever encountered during my many years of camping. She constantly goes above and beyond with a cheerful, positive attitude. It's clear that she enjoys doing whatever it takes to help people enjoy their stay in this beautiful location. Paula takes great pride in Alpine North Campground and you a very lucky to have her representing your company and the National Parks System!

This campground is super nice and convenient!! bathrooms were clean and nice, smelled at times in our camp, late at night which is why we went 3 stars. DONT trust the bad online reviews of the camp-host, she was very friendly and nice to us. Plus the entire campground was very clean and big camping spots.
@KarenW6722333 · Camped on Aug 28, 2022 at Campsite #15
The hosts were friendly and enforced the rules. It was clean and well maintained. Good location.

Paula was an excellent host, only concerns some of the speed bumps were pretty sharp and difficult to move over easily. I have stayed many different parks over the years and I will say that she was probably one of the most helpful and courteous hosts I’ve ever experienced. Definitely five star.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
