We stayed in site #51, which is a boondock, back in. Leveling was a challenge in our 39'MH but doable. We had a picnic table and fire pit. The view from our site was incredible. We had a pleasant experience with all staff we spoke with. Roads in the park are a little narrow with a few sharp turns which made navigating our rig a bit difficult. Definitely recommend disconnecting the toad at the office. We were able to stream with AT&T, but cell coverage was spotty. Sequoia NP is less than 30 minutes up the road. As with most all COE parks, it was quite clean and well maintained.

Keep in mine I went in March! It has a great view of the lake and mountains! The sunset and sun rise is beautiful also!! There some shade but not much, its walking distance to a water valve and the Restroom are up the hill across from the office(when I went the bathrooms werent working so they had porta potties but they were cleaned ever other day) and theres another bathroom that has showers(theres hot water!) but thats on the other side of the campground if you want to go on adventure you could walk there but be careful because people think the campsite is for day use or first come first serve so they will drive in and leave, if they stay the Park Rangers will tell them to leave and explain the rules. The Park Rangers drive around often to check up on the campground theres a maintenance guy hes pretty cool just dont mess up the campground! But its very peaceful for the most part when I went, Im already going back in a couple of months but at a different campsite got to find my favorite one but so far my number one!!!

Enjoyed our stay here. Campsites are large and spread out. Scenery was beautiful this time of year. Ranger & groundskeeper were friendly & helpful.

The area looked great. Great ambience. My site was a bit steep to keep my trailer level though. Showers were hot but i had to keep hitting the button in the mens shower every half minute to turn it back on. Besides those inconveniences id definitely go again.

It's nice campground but did notice people just show and take spots that aren't there's. People across from us stayed up arguing till 2:30 am. Had people not camping there driving fast through campground.

The proximity to the National park is great and the staff are very helpful and kind. Thats about the only positive thing I have to say. The park is in severe need of maintenance ie. erosion control, mowing down burr, and cleaning wood debris from a flood from over two years ago. Sad to see a USACoE in this state as they are typically very nice from my experience. Additionally, there were homeless drug users camped out right next to the showers and theyre smoking in the bathrooms and doing their laundry in the showers. Then hanging all their laundry at the campsite right next to the showers. Unsightly. Nice people, I spoke to them for about an hour but California seems to have some backwards policies as this doesnt exist anywhere else weve camped across the country.

My Wife and I enjoyed our experience at horse creek campground. And the park rangers was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and professional. And the recommendations an other sites was a plus. During this off peak season I highly recommend checking out various sites.

Fun place to camp. Our campsite was close to the highway so we heard a lot of car noise but bathrooms were clean and there was a lot of wood to collect for campfires.

Lovely Campground and beautiful colors. Unfortunately, toilets werent available and on two separate occasions neighbors were noisy with one using power tools and another had a generator on for the entire evening.

Late fall the camp is quiet, with very few visitors. Sad to see many of the trees are dead from the summer drought but still provide some shade.Short drive to Three Rivers from the camp to one of the best sandwich shops in California, Sierra Subs and Salads, a must try.Showers and restrooms to the west are still out of service as of 12/2024

Each campsite was clean and tidy and well laid out. Showers / toilets were closed and locked at our end of the camp and 3 porta potties were there. These were pretty clean but bring your own toilet paper. There was no running water or sinks at our end of the camp at all so we didnt wash dishes and or shower for our two nights. At the other end of the camp all but one shower was broken at the other and the working one was cold only and you had to hold a button to get the water to flow. There was a lot of road noise with the highway being obviously close but also busy.

The campground host was very friendly. It's a beautiful campgroud. Close proximity to Sequoia National Park. There is not a lot of amenities but that is fine for what we wanted. The campsites are spacious. You can hear cars driving up to Sequoia but I didn't mind. 1-2 cell phone bars for ATT. We would stay there again. Thanks!!Wendy

This campground was run by the Army Corps of Engineers. You would think it was squared away and above standard. It was far below. The restrooms and showers were closed due to needed repairs from flooding. Not sure when the flood happened but we were left with two womens port a potties and one mens. It said it was good for 10 people a week on the cleaning schedule. However the excrement was 2/3 full with another week to go. There were downed trees and debris everywhere and the water fountain was non functional. The vault toilets at Indian Cove campground were cleaner than these. It was so disgusting many of us in surrounding sites wanted to leave but it was too late. We got out of there first thing in the morning. The website misrepresented this campground greatly.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
