I have a great time at Trimmer comp ground; the place is clean, quiet and the personnel very friendly

Beautiful campsites with level parking spots. The bathrooms were a bit gross but pretty standard for campsites. The only downside for me was the location / isolation. Its very off the beaten path and I wouldnt feel safe as a single woman staying there. Others likely feel differently!

The campground itself is pleasant. It was unfortunate that we had terrible camp neighbors who completely disregarded the posted "Quiet Hours" of after 10pm. We would have reported it except that we never once saw a park employee during our visit.

Honestly for the price its not terrible its just we had a really bad experience.if you arent super into bugs maybe go to a different place. The bathroom were really not maintained or clean. No hand soap, Bugs were all over the wall and over sinks and toilets. And at night the bottom of campground is full of cockroaches. I dont know if its a common problem. But because of that we had to leave the same day to not risk getting it in our trailer. If you have a small trailer it should be fine like 13ft. Bigger than that it will be difficult to move around in this campground. Other than that beautiful place. Sunrise is gorgeous and the lake would be wonderful if didnt have the cockroaches.

The bathrooms were both out of service and there were human excrements outside the doors because of that. We ourselves would have loved a place to go to the bathroom as driving to one was not an option since this campground is so far off the beaten path. This campground was chosen because it had bathrooms so staying here was completely useless and we would have rather stayed in a walmart parking lot.

Had a peaceful night there before visiting Sequoia&Kings Canyon NP. Only us and another couple where there. No noices, just the beautiful Lake in front of our Camper Van. Restrooms where closed at that time, but nearby was an replacement. Might be a bit to remote for some, but you wont find a calm spot like this anywhere! Drinking water was available.

This was a fabulous campground with gorgeous lakefront views! We came in late in the evening; but woke up to such a beautiful sunrise! Will definitely come back!

Small campground, I enjoyed it. Looked a little neglected as in dirty bathrooms and some trash on the ground but I enjoyed how small and quiet it was. Would go back.

Bathrooms were clean, good location for sunset

Smallish site. Long and winding road to get there but worth the trip because the view of the lake, especially in the morning, is awesome. Looks like its a good fishing spot too.

Campsites are staggered so each one has a view of the lake. Each site had a nice level tent pad, table and fire ring. The flush toilets and free hot showers were an added bonus. Boat ramp was handy for launching kayaks.

The lake was high and temperature of water was great. Fishing not that good. Campgrounds were clean but not all sites have shade.
@ANGELICAG80131 · Camped on Jul 14, 2023 at Campsite #6
There are only 10 sites here in total. My family reserved all 10 sites for a family reunion/campout. We enjoyed this area to the fullest. There is a boat dock which made it very convenient for us. The restrooms were all working and kept up well. The showers work with hot/cold water. There is no shade on area #2,3,4,5 . Site #1 was our favorite spot to kick back and watch the kids enjoy the water, with a perfect view of the lake and mountains.

Beautiful campground, warm bath, flushable toilet, & lots of crappy!
@YieminC1773954 · Camped on Mar 18, 2023 at Campsite #7
Site #7 is good, #1,2,3 and 10 are not good for tent. On my stay, there are people with loud music after quiet time and I need to came out from my tent to ask them turn off the radio around mid-night.

Love love loved our trip! Lake is low- took advantage of that and filled a trash bag every day with old broken glass bottles and other trash. Hopefully the water levels will come up this winter.

Always like it here
@EmilyB3587069 · Camped on Oct 22, 2022 at Campsite #1
Great view of the water from the tent at pretty much every site. Cell service is limited and the closest stores with essentials are 20-30 min drive one way.
@Friedrich57972 · Camped on Oct 13, 2022 at Campsite #2
The campground was completely empty. The lake was nearly entirely gone. Restrooms haven’t been used in ages. We were all disgusted. Don’t recommend!
@LynnR7955920 · Camped on Oct 12, 2022 at Campsite #2
We had the entire campsite to ourselves. Secluded, quiet, lovely, clean. Park Ranger visited us and made us feel welcomed. Lake low due to ongoing draught but still very lovely. Serenaded by coyotes and one visited us but stayed about 300 yds away. Absolutely wonderful visit.
@RenatoN3420104 · Camped on Sep 30, 2022 at Campsite #2
We are a family of 6 plus our 3 furry family members (2 dogs and 1 cat). We took a break out of Clovis and spent 2 nights here. Rented campground #2 (corner location) and had the best view in my opinion. Camping is something we don’t do often but we did here since it had a full bathroom and shower which is also very close to the campgrounds. We will certainly come back again.
@JimG4565855 · Camped on Sep 2, 2022 at Campsite #3
Obviously with the lake near 10% of capacity, the trimmer boat launch was closed. What we did not expect was the facilities were no longer being cleaned or maintained.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
