We camped at 37 and had a great time there! It was clean and had a lot of flat areas for tents.

Lots of bears but a wonderful, clean, and safe campground with access to a small beach and very kind, welcoming hosts.

Great place to stay. But beware of bears.

Great hosts. Good area with access to lake across the road. Clean tidy campground. The bear just after dark was a bonus!

Great place to camp and clean bathrooms. Very nice camp host. Wonderful places to hike close by. Sunnyside Restaurant and beach area are right across the street. Spaces are well spaced and you are not as close to a neighbor. Camping here is well worth it.

Despite being adjacent to some businesses, this is a very quiet nice place to camp. Very convenient too.

Very experienced professional camp hosts. Camp well organized. Bad that open pit camp fires allowed in Tahoe Basin. Just criminal foolish.

Great place to take our RV. Love the wooded surroundings and clean camp ground. The restroom we used was definitely clean, even for a camp ground. Also loved being directly across from Sunny Side Restaurant

Great camping spot. Short walk to lake. Clean facilities and sites. Is in a small community so houses nearby. Can be heard but not really seen.

Great campground for glamping. Beautiful Lake Tahoe right across the street and perfect location to get on to the bike trails!Close to Tahoe City and the restaurants there.

Beautifully set up of the campground, lots of shade. Clean toilets, easy to get water and RV dump. Quiet guests. Fire wood available, and last but not least very helpful and enjoyable staff.

The campground is pretty, foresty, close to town and walkable to the lake, but not right on it. It was mostly cleaned up, other campers were friendly. I was excited to book my visit for next year until the host made me leave or book an additional site because my second vehicle was a sprinter van and he said it was considered an RV. There were only two people staying in the camp spot, and we were sleeping in the airstream trailer. My sprinter doesnt have hookups or shower or toilet so Im not sure if it really should be considered an RV. After trying to nicely and calmly move explain to him I had bought the extra parking pass from him for the vehicle and have a conversation with him he directly told me you burners think you can get away with everything, carried on having a one sided conversation with himself and explained to me he didnt need to listen to me because he was right. I purchased another campsite because it wasnt worth the $40 to argue with him and waste my time with someone that had already made up his mind about being right, not willing to listen, and discriminated against me because I go to burning man. I also asked for a refund of the parking I had paid for when I purchased the campsite and he refused to even continue a conversation. Honestly havent dealt with someone like that in a while. So yeah campsites great 8/10, hosts 2/10 - only reason they get 2 points was for being available and keeping the place cleaned up.

Better campgrounds in the area.. this one is in middle of residential area. No cell service.

William Kent campground is in a great location. Cross the street and you are at the William Kent public beach. Crystal clear but cold Lake Tahoe waters will refresh you. Campground facilities are as described. Id say the toilets could be serviced/cleaned more often as they apparently are.

The campsite was a perfect distance from Tahoe City so that we could bike into town and back in about 15-20 minutes on the bike path. Across the street from he campsite was great little opening to the lake for morning dips. The most notable part of the experience was the friendly and helpful campsite hosts!

Great location, close to hiking and biking trails, and the lake, of course. My site was in the middle of it, no noise heard from the road. I checked in a bit late, but hosts left necessary info at the entrance. Restrooms are clean, looks like they were renovated recently. Grocery shopping is close too, in case one needs something. This was my first stay there, will likely stay again in the future.The site itself has plenty of space, but it is on the slope, only has level space for two tents. Parking space is generous.

Pros: Clean, large campground. Right across from Lake Tahoe with access to a beautiful small public beach. The camp hosts were fantastic!Cons: Surrounded by a neighborhood on three sides. Felt like youre camping in their backyards (because you are). I would book a site again due to the proximity to the lake.

The actual lake front access of this State Park is not large. But it's in a prime location. Pleasant to watch the moon or sun rise over the distant shore. I also launched my kayak from this little gravel beach to cruise the section of the West Shore which is primarily private. Parking spots are few, but it's an easy walk across the street (Hwy 89) from the campground. The sites I saw were spacious and shaded by huge (Sequoia?) trees. Camp host was friendly and helpful.

Pros1. Fantastic location.2. Fairly spacious camp site.Cons1. No shower.2. Restroom is kinda old (not dirty).Pros?Cons?There are real bears!!! I saw an adult bear right in front of me at night time. It just walked away. And I heard people yelling Bear! throughout the night. Read the instruction about bears carefully and leave no food around you!!

Great campground, with attentive hosts! Delivered our firewood right to our site, very helpful but also unobtrusive.Beach access is a short walk, very small section of beach but we were able to find a spot for our blankets/towels and enjoy ourselves and the water. Will definitely come here again!

Awesome hosts. Close to water. Bathroom tissue papers keeps falling out in the toilet. Complained, but was told the provider of the tools have not given them enough budget to get new tissue holders. Very sad !
@MaryS3622227 · Camped on Aug 9, 2024 at Campsite #59
Wonderful hosts! The campground is well-maintained, well-run, and very close to the lake. The hosts really go the extra mile to help each visitor have a good experience.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
