Small CG. Pretty location with stream running along many sites. Water access is by hand pump. No electric. Good spacing between sites. Stayed in 35ft 5th wheel with opposing slides.

Camp Hosts were very kind and diligent at cleaning facilities. Fishing access and wildlife viewing were amazing from our site. We had an amazing 8 day tent camping stay at Prune creek, will do it again next year.

Site 5 had good open space around it, level enough, short walk to water pump. Saw deer at dusk and again in the morning right from the site. Very quiet evening. Only annoyance there is highway noise, which drops off a great deal at sunset.

We visit the Bighorns almost every year and really enjoy our stay at Prune Creek. The camp hosts were excellent! Dean and Bonnie did a great job of keeping the camp clean and were very gracious hosts. We saw plenty of wildlife (mostly moose) in and around camp. The only challenge with staying at Prune Creek is that it is very much in demand and can be difficult to get reservations when we want. We try to coordinate our visit with several families and getting campsites near each other is very challenging! The highway noise is minimal and we get used to it.

When available I have camped at Prune Creek at least once every year since 2011. This year was my first time without "Bob" as the campground host. It was a good experience; just not as good as I've learned to expect. The biggest difference was with the bathrooms. They used to be the best in any campground I've experienced.

Everything at Prune Creek was great!

We had a great site, nice and level and the camp hosts were exceptional. The only complaint I have with the site is that it is very shaded, good for hot days not so good for the cool ones when trying to run solar. Small issue, hopefully we will return sometime.

Only complaint is the trash- cant get into the big dumpster. We didnt see any information informing us that we had to use Walmart size bags for trash. So heads up. Otherwise a wonderful place-

Beautiful campground. We saw moose. There were a few pronghorns staring at us from the other side of the little river. Spacious spots where you can easily find a sunny spot.

Love prune Creek. We see moose just about every time we stay here.

The site was nice and well kept and we even had 2 moose wonder across the creek and into our camp site, we kept out distance and they didn't seem to be bothered by us at all. Beautiful area to camp.

Clean, good toilets, good host, and great spacing.

Upon returning after 2 years we found this campground has not been given the love it deserves. It was in need of serious trimming, emptying of fire pits (ours was full to the top), and the bathrooms smelled horrible. The moose wandering about the campground made us able to overlook it. It does make us sad that such a beautiful place is falling into disrepair. The forest service needs to resume responsibility for the campgrounds in the Big Horns or find better camp hosts who are able and willing to do the work.

Lovely spots close to the river. (Prune Creek is a tiny creek that empties into the Tongue River which is directly behind the campground.) Lots of trees and shade. Bathrooms were clean. Many people fishing at this spot. Other campers saw a moose there. The campground is right off the road so there is some traffic noise (we were tent camping - most others were inside trailers/RVs) but at night there weren't many vehicles and it didn't keep us awake.

Well maintained campground, quiet, clean restrooms, large site, easy to navigate (back-in, not pull-thru sites), fresh water, fire ring, bbq grate, picnic table.

Awesome camp! Host very friendly
@JasonZ3190876 · Camped on Jun 25, 2023 at Campsite #6
The campsite that I chose was close to the creek, but far enough away that you didn't have to worry about fisherman or hikers intruding into the campsite.
@BenC2118977 · Camped on Jun 11, 2023 at Campsite #15
Closer to the road than we realized. Moose were cool.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
