Very secluded, and out of the way place with the gravel roads a little rough driving on, though it looked liked the roads were in a process of being upgraded. Campsites are a good size, clean vault toilets and good tasting drinking water.

This is a nice campground. Bathrooms get a bit stinky but they are above average. Didn't love having our spot near the water pump. Busy and very loud. We weren't able to book our usual spot. I do have one complaint. We were forced to change our camping dates due to rain but never received a refund for the spot we had booked prior. I would have changed the reservation and just paid the booking fee but I was unable to do this. I assumed we would be contacted on how to apply for a refund.

RESERVATION WAS CANCELLED, NO CONTACT FROM CAMPGROUND UNTIL LAST MINUTE AND NO REFUND. IF IT WEREN'T FOR RESERVATIONS.COM WE WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP AT THE CAMPGROUND AND NOT HAD A PLACE TO STAY.

We had a reservation and arrived at 3pm, but the camp host wasn't there. We went to find our site, but unbeknownst to us, it had been flooded out and we were moved. We ended up going down a road that wasn't closed off or marked as being closed and got our van stuck. When my husband walked back, the host handed him a shovel, told him her husband would be home in 3 hours, and he would come around then. She said we were supposed to have gottne a call telling us this. We did not. After 2 hours in the car with 3 kids, some men happened to drive by and tow us out. We went to our new site and while the site seemed ok, the bathrooms were not very clean. The host was rarely there, mainly after 8pm. The last day we were there, someone came into the camp and drove up to us, asking where the host was. They said they had a reservation but they didn't know where it was and couldn't find anyone. We let them know that we were moved and that the upper loop was flooded out, and that the host wasn't around much. We said we were supposed to get a call about it but we didn't, and they said they hadn't either. Overall, the camp seemed nice, but as long as the current hosts are there we will not be returning.

We reserved sites 13, 17, & 18 for our group of 18 people. Many of the sites were soaking wet, but these three were nice and dry. Restrooms were very clean. Water from the pump was a little yellow, but did not taste bad. Unfortunately, the road out to the trailhead was very muddy - it needs a lot of gravel and needs to have an enlarged parking lot. Parking for backpacking trips is very limited. Doyle Creek area is quite beautiful.

No cell service (T-Mobile) but the camp host was very friendly, calling our attention to a couple of moose across the road and even helped us out tremendously with some car trouble we had. Outhouse was very clean and well kept.

It was a quiet, peaceful campground in Lodgepole Pines. There was Lupine blooming everywhere. I saw a Moose! There is a beautiful little creek near. The whole area is beautiful.

We were not able to enjoy our stay at Doyle creek Our camper is 33’ long with two tip outs and there was no way that it would fit in the space we reserved We went to the camp hosts camper on two different occasions to let her know we wouldn’t be staying So we did not stay there for our vacation

Stayed for 4 days. Campground spots are spacious. It’s a very nicely upkept campground. Have to drive a little bit to hit a trail. No cell service which was ok. Nice walking path close to campground. Definitely will stay there again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
