This area has a few camp sites, so reserve early or take a chance that one will be available. Our site backed up to Shell Creek and we could walk down to the creek to experience the water. A moose visited two days in a row. The pit toilets are far enough away you don't smell them. According to the Forest Service, these toilets are only pumped out once a year. There is a trail for ATVs right there, but far enough away to not be noisy. The whole area is green and peaceful, a perfect place to camp.

Absolutely terrible camp host. Purposefully lied and over booked our campsite. Camp host has a terrible attitude and tried to incite a physical altercation. Even the forrest service employees agreed that he is a person that is very difficult to deal with. Really ruined a good family vacation tradition and experience.

We had so much fun exploring the banks of the river. Dave, the camp host, and his wife were very friendly and helpful as well.

We loved this spot, nestled in amongst the trees and Shell Creek. It's an opportunity to really commune with nature - whether you are an avid fisherman, bird watcher, or just want to listen to the sounds of nature. Oh, and the moose sighting was a pleasant surprise. Though spending the night under the stars only 5 feet from a friends tent was a bit unnerving. He just grunted every once and a while to remind us all that this was HIS home. You can't go wrong boondocking in this lovely area. So many things to see and do.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
