Our campsite, #32 worked well for us and was private. The campground was nice, showers were ok. Try the handicap shower, the water was warmer and water lasts longer. Also unfortunately we thought we would fill our camper with water upon arrival at the campground but you are not allowed to hook up hoses to the spigots as they dont have backflow devices. Its a long ways back to Dutch John to get water. We did walk to sunny cove to swim and that was great.

Our family has camped EVERY year at Mustang Ridge since 1993. We have treasured every ingle day camping, boating, fishing, cliff jumping, etc. up until this year. This year we were terriby disappointed!! The showers had NO hot water and were disgustingly filthy. Of course with no hot water to clean the bathrooms properly that is to be expected! In the entire campground of nearly 70 sites there was only one water faucet working. All of the others were labeled as "closed". I have no idea what's happened to this heavenly campground, but something has gone terribly wrong! If it's the US Forest Services fault or the campground host's lack of concern - THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED!

The main bathrooms were still out of order, we were hoping the water line would be fixed by Time we went

This is a busy and popular campground. The vault toilets need to be cleaned more often!

Love this place. Don't tell other people! Too many creepy mormon crickets. ew

This was a great campsite it was really big for a single site and there was only really a couple of places to set up a tent. The vault toilets were close to the site and clean. Be mindful when camping here since there is summer rain storms and bigger bugs than normal. Sunny Cove beach was close and that was also a lot of fun.

During our stay we didnt have showers and limited water at specific water bibs in campground. Was told by hosts that it would be fixed by our second day. Was never fixed while there. Apparently the water heater needed replaced along with some pipes. I received an e-mail about water ensuring me that we would receive a 50% refund but I havent seen that yet. Was an inconvenience while there. Wasnt informed about this until after O was there camping. A local convenience store clerk informed me that the water situation had been going on for some time before

My travel trailer (30ft trailer, 20ft truck) fit nicely into a spacious and secluded pull through site. Very big campground with a short distance to the reservoir. My only complaint is that there was no water and no shower and no prior warning that these would not be working until we arrived and found a hand written note. This is a more expensive campground because of these amenities, so a small refund should be in order because they were not available.

No water at the park No RV Dump Station
@JonJ5938994 · Camped on Jun 2, 2024 at Campsite #41
There was no water at campground and no attempt to notify us prior to arrival. We choose not to stay and it has been impossible to get in touch with anyone to seek a refund.

No water and that was never made know until we got there. Bathrooms were disgusting. I used to love this campground.

There was no water any where in the area and no dump station. This is a specific contradiction to what the website indicated. No federal employee had an accurate answer. We checked the website before we left and found something different when we got there. Recreation dot gov is unreliable.

Great campground. Host was friendly and helpful.

Nice campground, quiet, enjoyable experience, would come again. My only comment would be the spaces are a little small so if you have a larger unit, be aware the spaces run small.

We stayed at site 22 and LOVED that we could walk to the beach. It was perfect weather at beginning of September.

The bathrooms were dirty and the showers had red mold in them. The vault toilet close to our campsite #45 had the mens side locked with no sign indicating it was out of order. The womens side was full of spiders and spider webs everywhere. We watched the camp host drive his golf cart to this vault toilet, go inside and mark the binder that it was clean and NOT clean anything. Weve been coming to this campground for 7 years and its gone downhill and the lack of maintenance and cleanliness is disappointing!

Mustang Ridge is my favorite campground I look forward to every summer! The facilities are always clean, the campsites spacious and well taken care of and the campground host is always great. Will definitely be coming back next summer!
@MicahS5858808 · Camped on Aug 9, 2023 at Campsite #35
Great location. Staff is attentive. Bathrooms are cleaned through out the day. Sites are seperated enough that you aren't on top of each other.

I love this campground. The views are gorgeous and the sites are really nice. We wanted to extend our trip, but Camp host seemed confused as to what spots were open. had a paper list instead of real time app reservations, so ended up moving us twice. Nice guy, but older and clearly did not understand how the technology worked. Other campers had their music and generators on very late. Camp host was no where to be found. A little enforcement could have made it a much more pleasant stay.

This is a nicely laid out campground with spacious sites. We liked the privacy we had. I thought we might have easier access to the shoreline when we made reservations. We looked around the area & found the boat ramp & the cove. Not my favorite shoreline. Very convenient for trailers. The group campsite was a bit huge/densely occupied with six large trailers. A bit loud & daunting.

I have gone to Mustang Ridge for years. We really enjoyed it this year. The camp hosts were more pleasant this year. The flush toilets and showers were open 24/7. (Which was so nice) The only issue I had was the mens restroom in the handicap camp site was closed for the second year. Difficult for 40 people to use one toilet.

One of our favorite places to go.

Stayed in 49 and 50 for three nights. Plenty of tent and parking space for our 4 tents, 5 cars and a small trailer. The map made it look as if we would be closer to the lake but it wasn’t terribly far, just not where I was expecting. A great campground that is close to the water for easy close access.
@VilerX1B610647 · Camped on Jul 9, 2023 at Campsite #51
shower and the regular bathroom closing at 9pm seems a bit early for the summer since not all the bathrooms were working and the sun didn't go down till after 8pm and there was a line of people waiting to shower. The camp sites were very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay and will go back again. The map we got was a very poor copy of a copy and mostly not readable.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
