Sites are roomy, with paved parking for RV, and concrete pad with picnic table. Park is clean and well-maintained.The $10 dump fee was an unpleasant surprise.

Stayed in site B10. Great Lake front site on the end of the loop. Nice and level. Campground was clean. Lady that checked us in was nice and helpful. Can get windy but its a good location to explore the area from.

My father passed away so we tried canceling on arrival day of a 16 day reservation. They refused. They could have put it back in inventory and given us a partial refund. But no, milk everyone for everything they can. Better be sure you want to be there for the full time! Not even partial credit. Horrible, rude people in the management office.

The camp hosts/check in staff were very nice and friendly. We stayed in the apartments, which were very accommodating for four people. The walls are rather thin so you could hear activity and talking from the adjacent room. The beds and futons were not the most comfortable to sleep on so I would recommend bringing a mattress, topper or air mattress to throw on top of them. But overall the apartments had, clean utensils, pots, and pans and plates. Would recommend and would stay here again.

The campground is located at the end of a really nice peninsula. The accesability of the sites is good and there is enough space for every site. But some other aspects are strange:1. We had reserved a non-electric-site for 25$ per night. At check-in we were informed, that recreation.gov has improved the site in the meantime and equipped with electriciy. We had to pay additionally 11$ per night in cash for a feature, that we hadn't ordered.2. The sanitary rooms in our loop were out of order. In the next loop, the only urinal in men's bathroom was out of order. In the only sanitary room in another loop, which is equipped with showers, 2 of 4 showers were out of order.3. To use the Dump Station, you have to pay 10$ with your credit card and then you have a time slot of 60 seconds, to open the Dump. Never have seen this on a US-Campground before.

We ran a YM camp out of Group Site B. The main issues were that there is very little information about the group sites on the website. I called the listed phone numbers several times to get more information, left messages, but was unable to get in contact with a human to tell me about the site. I did eventually talk to someone with American Land and Leisure corporate offices, but he was only able to give me information that was already on the website as he wasn't at the actual campground. He did offer to have the campground manager contact me, but that never happened. So this review will hopefully provide helpful information to future group site users:The site is quite large, we had about 50 people there and there was plenty of space for tents and vehicles. We had one large RV. There are no RV hookups, though each group site has a pretty large pavilion with 12 concrete tables and fence around two sides for a wind block, which was very very nice. Next to the pavilion was a post with two potable (at least we hope so) water spigots, which could be run to a camper, but there is no sewer connection. The pavilion has four 20 amp outlets, so enough to run a CPAP but not a large trailer by any means. We ran a generator through the night on the trailer and we were far enough away from everyone else that we couldn't hear it when we walked to the nearest camp sites, though we never found out what the rules were on quiet time, generators, etc. We just assumed 10PM. It was very windy. The first day a small storm was coming in and we lost three tents due to wind before we dropped the others and waited it out. The other days, it was quite windy from 2-5ish, but once the tents were really well staked, it was OK. The group sites do not have showers, we had to walk ~10 minutes to the nearest showers which had 2 of 4 working. Showers were plenty warm, but not super clean. Tee camp seems to be low maintenance built which has its pros and cons. Overall good times.

We booked site E-11 with a lake view planning to put up 3 tents. There is not a flat area for a tent on that site. The only area that was a possible location was muddy as the sprinkler watered that area. Very disappointing. Got grief from hosts because we moved to a first come site. No shade over concrete sections. Sites previously had shade, now they have been removed. No defined areas for tents, or where each site starts and ends. Put up a tent on first come late at night and got hit by the sprinklers the next day. Very poorly laid out and managed campground.

The cabins weren't veryy clean. It's vacuumed and mopped when we get there but he furniture is stained with hair and debris on it. The bed sheet is stained. We caught 5 mice in traps while we were there. Bugs everywhere. It could be a truly great place but jist needs a little TLC.

Great location and the campground was booked solid. Hosts kept restrooms clean after massive usage. Very nice, level pad for RV. Loved partial fence by each picnic table for privacy Would definitely stay again.

The female individuals at the front office were great to work with. The elderly gentleman was incredibly rude. My husband and I greeted him warmly and all 3 times he snarled at us. We asked questions about how a couple things work and he acted like we were bothering him. Weve been coming two times a year for years and years and we were really turned off. As we were leaving the window the last time, another guest followed us and always from the window so this man had made his wife cry and he e encouraged us to write our review as he intended to also. This is our favorite piece to camp BUT we still expect to be treated with kindness and respect. Thank you.

The campground isnt in very good shape. The grass that was somewhat green last year is mostly dead weeds. The guy working in the office was very rude and not very helpful. They should give you a token for the septic tank dump station when you checkin at the office. The bathrooms were very clean but the showers werent nice at all. The showers were built for short people and the water shoots out so hard its kind of hard to use.

The cabin unit 2 was very smelly!! Smelled like we were staying at the fish cleaning station!! The A/C unit was very weak as well, and only felt in the bedroom! Bugs and spiders were horrible inside and outside of the unit!! Save your money and stay someplace else!

There is a rodent problem. We caught 8Mice in traps in our trailer. The Uinta ground squirrels/pot guts was horrible they chewed holes in our inflatable tube that we pulled our kids on behind the boat. They damaged my boat cover. They chewed holes in our service rug outside of our door. Chipmunks were rapid everywhere getting into our storage compartment on our trailer, leaving the droppings everywhere chewing holes in Everything. The Lawn are dying. There is holes everywhere from the pot guts Creating hazard after dark. The kids fallen get hurt. I stepped in one and twisted my knee. The forest service really needs to go in there and fix the rodent problem.

The extra vehicle parking fee needs to be eliminated on boats. I was charged over $130 extra because my boat was considered an extra vehicle. I had plenty of room, kept all 4 wheels of camper, boat and truck on pavement and off the grass. Anyway...please consider boats different than a vehicle.

The cabin itself was seemingly clean and well appointed. However, there was a very strong rotting smell coming from the kitchen the entire time. We had to keep the windows open and the fan pointed to the back door to make it bearable. We also had mice. One was caught in the trap. One was dead under the sink in the bathroom and we saw one scurrying. My sister stayed in the cabin next door and had none of these issues. It took a couple of days to figure out how to make the water come out of the shower head. It would have been nice to have been given instructions on that. The staff was friendly and nice when they were around. Its just too bad our cabin was so smelly.

It is a very clean campground with nice amenities such as canopies at many sites and nice picnic tables. The staff is excellent. The rangers and camp hosts couldnt be more helpful.

This is a top of the line Forest Service campground. Fishing and boating paradise with spacious RV sites. Electric only at camp site. Water fill is at dump station and if you need to dump it is $10. It can get a bit windy during the day. My travel trailer (30ft trailer, 20ft truck) fit perfectly in this spot, which was probably the best site in the campground as we could walk to the water and had amazing views. We would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at Lucerne campground for years with no issues until this summer. We have always pulled tandem with our trailer and boat but this year we showed up and was told we had to pay extra for having a boat at our campsite and we had to pay in cash. When we questioned this since this has never been a thing in the past, and my father in law has just stayed there 2 weeks prior, they were so rude yelling that this has always been the rule and we better pay it. We had to go get $49 in cash so we could pay this ridiculous fee. They also had not mowed and the weeds were horrible. We wont be staying there again.

The showers were not work by are camp spot . When I reserved the camp spot there was nothing said about it not working. Also why do you pay for sew dump when you pay for camp spots. We stayed 12 days it should be free for the ones that pay for camping.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
